I live in North Carolina and I have always got the MLB Extra Innings and the Superfan package, but never get to see the exhibition games. If I purchase NESN and have all the other stuff (MLB EI and SF) will I be able to see the Exhibition games or will they be blacked out still? Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks

Where do you live in NC? You should be able to get the games as I live in Greenville, NC and am able to, but I would call your provider to make sure!

Thanks! I live in Salisbury and wanted to make sure before I called so I could just order everything at once!! How much are you paying for NESN, if you don't mind me asking? I know it isn't too much per month!

Wed. nights game against the Twins is on NESN so you should be able to find out soon enough.

I can't remember of the top of my head, but it is not a lot at all, it is actually a pretty good deal if my mind serves me

I had DirecTV with a full sports package, with the idea of watching the Sox a while back and MLB games (such as the Sox on NESN) were blacked out to anybody that did not live in the Boston area. In other words I could get NESN for everything else (pre game, post game, etc.) but no Red Sox. I would assume it's the same with any other content provider (Comcast, BrightHouse, Verizon, TimeWarner, Dish, etc.)

If I'm not mistaken it's a MLB and/or Red Sox copyright rule, not a NESN or cable company rule.

Well I called today to order Extra Innings and they said that NESN is not available in our area. We asked about ordering it "ala carte" type and they still said no, not available. So, I am guessing it is a directv thing and if you have any other cable provider you can have NESN?

Oh well, I will be looking forward to the regular season starting soon! :)

Now I remember your right, I have dish and ordered the package to watch all the games and get nesn, but they lost the rights of games to direcTV, and so now i can't watch the nba or mlb games, but can watch all college games that come on the channels, but if you get nesn most of the time you can catch the 9th innings when it goes overtime on extra innings!!

Well, all I know is I am glad I can purchase MLB Extra Innings because I love the Red Sox and it would suck not to be able to watch them all summer down here!

I just hate waiting until April to see them!! LOL

haha tell me about it

Well, good news...the Red Sox/Twins game is going to be on the MLB channel, so at least I will get to see an exhibition game anyway! I hope they broadcast more of them!
