On a couple levels - his skillset and size. He's a good route runner & a big target and would be a nice complement opposite Moss.
Furthermore, his "bloodlines" and his obvious maturity and connection to the game:

After seeing how well Mayo developed in one year largely to his work ethic and passion for the game, I think we cannot understate the fact how important those intangibles are when considering the usage of Day 1 picks.
My only question on Robiskie is if he is fast enough to be the intermediate guy the Pats need. In terms of a possession receiver opposite Moss, he fits the bill, but can he get down field a little faster than, say, a Gaffney. But from what I've seen, I like him and think he'd be worth a 2nd rounder.
