Tom Brady says he's on course - Reiss' Pieces - Boston.com

ALLSTON -- Quarterback Tom Brady made a charity appearance today at a Boys and Girls club as part of the Patriots Charitable Foundation and answered questions for more than 12 minutes in his most expansive comments since his knee injry.

Brady indicated that his recovery remains on schedule and he sees no reason why he won't be ready for the Patriots' season opener.

So much for the conspiracy theories. Sounds like he's comfortably assuming he's the starter. Feb might just end in an interesting way after all...

Oh, no--now the "big master plan" is foiled:rolleyes:

Re: Reiss: BRADY HIMSELF expects to be ready to play.

Watching Tom dominate the super bowl is going to be a very nice end to the season!

a little tid bit from the projo.

Brady also touched on Matt Cassel, saying the two worked out together on Sunday and calling him a "great friend" ; said it was his and Belichick's decision that he wasn't on the field for games because Belichick didn't want him to be a distraction, for instance the cameras training on him anytime there was an incomplete pass by Cassel; and new quarterbacks coach and Brown alum Bill O'Brien: "He's very qualified; very smart. He's a great addition."

:singing:I'm so happy! I believe Randy is even happier than me, if that's possible!

It's amazing what they can do with prosthetics these days.

More from TFB:rocker:

I’m not worried about, I don’t think anybody is … when you have infections, they say ‘five years later, something could happen.’ There is nothing I know of. I’m not being treated for anything," he said. "I’m going through as if this was our offseason conditioning program. I’m lifting and running, and focusing on strength, and working on the game film, and those types of things. It’s exciting to be back doing things that I like and enjoy.”

Asked if he was able to move and put torque into a throw at this point, Brady said: “Yeah. You wouldn’t know that I had surgery if you watched me.”

He then joked that his biggest problems are on the golf course.
“I can’t putt the ball,” he cracked.

Re: Reiss: BRADY HIMSELF expects to be ready to play.

Reiss now has more quotes up that are even more encouraging than initial posting.

Best part of all this is after reading what Brady has said, any teams that thought they had Pats Need Brady Insurance as leverage in Cassel trade negotiations can kiss that bargaining chip good bye. :)

Hey, Tom E. Curren, I hope the Pats at least took you out to dinner first
