Wrong
Around 25% of us per the polls taken at the time made the case that Gutz would be cut and Cassel kept as the #2.

Obviously, few paid attention.

P.S. Moe left Patsfans in disgust at the all Cassel bashing, trade Brady, we suck posts

Tell him that we expect to see him back by draft day. No excuses!

Well of course he wasn't the only one, just the only one I remembered consistently logically defending in the pre-season.

But on that note...

Excellent PR which will help pump up his value and our future picks for him

Will teams be willing to take a risk on a guy who's been pissed on?

How was that any different from what we had to filter out during the season here?

Nobody! Last summer, I remember someone created a thread stating where Matt Cassel's next job would be. It showed a picture of a guy walking into Walmart. However, for some reason, I can't find that original thread. I found that thread pretty funny. I'm glad Cassel proved me wrong.

That was ME guys! ;)

I admit I was wrong and Matt had a great season and I was proud of him when all was said and done,I do hope he makes some good money now but I got to admit I will probably not even remember Matt's 2008 season when next season arrives in week 1 and #12 is back in the saddle

Maybe I can start a similar thread at the beginning of next season .... but this time it's Brett Favre with the shopping carts ;)

I just don't see how any team can talk themselves into giving some rookie QB out of college a 60M deal after this draft, to save their franchise. This is the weakest college QB crop coming out in years.
