Firstly because Warner is a cry baby with his spygate nonsense. Get over it!

Secondly - now that Big Ben has 2 rings - the media can stop talking about Manning vs Brady and concentrate on Ben vs Brady as both have multiple rings. Media obsession of Manning is going to go down now because they have to make Big Ben second after Brady ofcourse. I kinda like that.

Thirdly - Steelers are a good organization and I don't HATE them as much as I despise the Jets, Colts, Giants, etc....

Here's to a great 2009 season with Tom the Legend steering the PATS ship!

GO PATS!!!!!

Ben is not that good, the steelers D has made his career look alot better than it is.

Agreed that he's not a brilliant QB, but he got the job done--gotta tip your cap.

That is true but he gets it done when he has to. Gotta admit that. Atleast he has more rings than Peyton - happy with that!

All I can say is that it's winning Super Bowls that will make coaches and QBs immune to criticism et al, NOT stats.

If Desmond Howard didn't run back that kickoff for a TD in XXXI, I wonder how the citizens of Wisconsin would treat Brett Favre. And for that matter too, I wonder if Bledsoe's career would have taken a different route.

Of course, the Dallas fans/media put Tony Romo in the same boat as Danny White, when the latter actually helped his team go to 3 straight NFCCGs.

That's what people used to say about TB. "NE's defense won those SB's"..."he's a system QB". While I don't think Big Ben is anywhere in TB's league, he now has the hardware to shut everybody up. I hate the Steelers, but they've now 2 SB's since our last one.

Smufflesburgers is not even in the same Galaxy as Brady.

F the Steelers and their overrated QB.

not many QB's have had a game winning TD drive with their team down in the SB , not even brady. he is unconventional but he makes plays.he deserves all the credit IMO.
For us pats fans everything revolves around brady and he probably the best in the game right now but what ben r did last night and also throught the season on last minute drives(balt, dallas, jax) is quite creditable .

I feel differently. Big Ben brings something to the table that's remarkable, even if the stats don't show it.

What I like about Big Ben going against Brady is that Ben is hard to quantify. It forces people to look at the quality of his game, the intangibles, instead of the numbers only.

Of course, like Peyton, Big Ben has rings from Super Bowl wins against rather weak opponents.

Re: OK with the Steelers winning....

Ben made a couple plays that only he could make, he escapedfrom certain doom more than a few times and made plays for first downs.

I hate the Steelers, I wanted the Cardinals to win and was so close to realizing that desire. Steelers deserved the win...but I can still feel like maye Arizona could have won that if Warner wasn't such a pansey.

Re: OK with the Steelers winning....

Cheeseburger is defitnetly the luckiest QB ever, play against a Cardinal D that don't know they need to make adustment (keep rushing him instead of drop more into coverage). he's not good when you just let him stand in the pocket and actually play QB, the cardinals should know that his hard to drag down because of his weight, so don't that him running around try to find his receivers.

I'm tired of listening to the media saying his a great QB.

Re: OK with the Steelers winning....

No Roethlisburger is not an elite QB, but he certainly has heart and guts, the guy doesn't choke which puts him ahead of most of the current field of QB's. He does get away with a lot of wild favrequad throws though, but then that is reflected in his stats. Even though he is not TB, I would have him ahead of Cassel as our backup if we could. That's not to diss Matt, I thought he stepped up admirably to replace TFB when he went down. But Ben's playoff W-L is more than admirable.

Of course this is all speculation because I dont think BR has the cranial capacity to play for BB. Even less so after each concussion.

Pretty much. They guy's got 2 now, no denying that. Years from now, no one will even remember that they both came against two "creampuff" teams in the Seahawks and Cards. Possibly the 2 weakest teams seen in the SB in that last bunch of years.

You're aware that this is what they used to say about our beloved TB, right?

That last drive was right up there with the best title drives of all time.

Re: OK with the Steelers winning....

I don't think anyone's going to compare Ben to Brady. They're not really similar at all. Brady is a very efficient pocket passer - almost certainly the best in the game. He's compared to Manning I think because their styles are the same - quick reads, quick delivery, stay in the pocket.

I don't know who you compare Ben to. There really isn't a QB out there, right now anyway, that plays a similar style. He's not a great pure pocket passer. His reads are slow and he takes a long time to get rid of the ball. But he somehow gets the job done.

If you compare him to Brady all you can say is that both won multiple Superbowls early. I think that's where the comparison ends.

Re: OK with the Steelers winning....

Steelers was VERY LUCKY yesterday. Cardinal's D didn't play well in the last 2 mins. I was impressed with Kurt Warner.

Most definitely.

Weren't we looking for just that kind of play from Brady and Moss in the waning seconds of Superbowl XLII?

The Steelers deserved that very exciting win.

It never ceases to amaze me that some fans cannot appreciate what another team does without seeing those achievements as somehow diminishing the Patriots' achievements.

We've had and will continue to have a great run, but if you love football, you've got to love last night's game.

Re: OK with the Steelers winning....

I will say one thing, Mufflesbarfer is better than Manning in the playoffs:

Playoff Records

Brady 14-3
Roethlisberger 8-2
Manning 7-8
