It has been 4 long years since a team that I wanted to win the SB has won it.

2006 - Steelers - Seahawks were jobbed
2007 - Indy - please
2008 - Giants - enough said
2009 - Steelers - that damn 100 yard INT for TD

2010 - Patriots - #4 in SB 44!

three of the last four would have been ok had the pats won last year.

It's almost like what goes around comes around. It's as if the Pats had to sell their soulds to the NFL-devil to win those championships, and now the Pats and their fanbase are facing the horrid aftermath. How else can you explain the misfortune of not winning with Super Bowl quality teams but to have THOSE TEAMS (Indy, PIt, NYG) win instead. It's almost too much to swallow.

It's not like watching the Titans or Ravens win the title, its watching our hated rivals win it.

i know, it sucks. and in 06 and 07 they had heartbreaking losses to end the season. one play away from winning a 4th super bowl and playing in a 5th. this year was not nearly as bad as the last two, last year the 18-1 and the year before blowing that huge lead at indy. brutal losses.

Re: It's been 4 long years ....

Of the last four years, the 2005 season bugs me the least. The Pats were two-time defending champs and you could tell it was starting to wear on them. Even still, they were possibly a touchback away from eliminating the Broncos and hosting the Steelers in the AFC Championship.

2006 was frustrating because of the blown lead in Indianapolis. Had they held on, there's no doubt in my mind they would have rolled over Grossman and the Bears.

I don't even need to bring up how upsetting the end of last season was.

There's no point playing the "what if" game, but it's amazing to think this team could have won 5 Super Bowls in the last 7 years heading into this season. 3 is nothing to be embarrassed about, though.

The past eight years have been a joy.. I don't think it's over yet either. They'll be playing in Miami on February 7, 2010. =D

September can't come soon enough.
