"...this Super Bowl will be won by the best team, the Pittsburgh Steelers."

-NBC Pregame

A little irony here is that Rodney is directly responsible for the rise of Warner. Rodney was the one wit the "late" hit on Trent Green paving the way for the Greatest Show On Turf and Warner's 2 league MVPs.

I guess that is not a good thing to think about. Its like Cassel sending Bernard Pollard a Rolex after signing his 30M offer in a few weeks.

it hurts me to watch this right now..
thoughts of last year still hurt big time..
I can barely watch this year..

And that Rodney was the only one who had a chance to stop the miracle helmet catch.

it's ironic too because i felt rodney was the biggest liability for us in SB 42. he was responsible for Kevin Boss turning a 10 yard play into a 40 yarder. also, he failed to knock the ball away from tyree as Michael mentioned.

I love Rodney and we may have been the better team, but this was a very loser-ish thing to say IMO.

Rodney speaks the truth, no harm in it. :)

We had probably the most talented team I've ever seen. But the winner of the game is ultimately the better team... so I think he should've re-worded it as something to the effect of the favored or expected team will win this year unlike last.

LMAO, some of you are such hypocrites. You guys would be red in the face if an opposing player said that.

Sour grapes Rodney. Not that I can blame him.

Exactly what I was thinking

Nothing hypocritical about it.

Good for him. He's just expressing what all of us are thinking.

We were the best team that season. Thats hardly arguable. They were just better on that night.

Seriously, if anyone can blast Kordell Stewart/Marshall Faulk when they said this about us in 2001 then turn around and applaud Rodney for this that's a joke.

W ell guys, like most of you I'm a die-hard Pats fan, last years SB still sticks in my craw, and I love RH,but the Jints played their hearts out,and yeah, got lucky with Eli's desperation heave and the catch of a lifetime, but I cant take away therr gutsy defensive performance, which we as Patriots fans, appreciate. We'll get 'em next year....and we'll be watching our team in SB 44,damnit!

exactly, I bet the same people blasting them are the same ones praising Rodney now.

Actually, Asante Samuel had the chance to finish off that play and pulled up at the last second thinking Rodney had it under control. Could've made all the difference. d%#*!@t.

Yeah, but who in their right mind wouldn't agree with him? Certainly, the Giants deserved to win because they did what they had to when they had to, but they weren't the better team going into the game. Same could be said for the Rams vs. the Patriots in 2001. Rams were the better team, Pats just took it to them.
