I image lots going on behind the scene looking to replace Pioli?
What 's the word up there; any names being discussed? I seen a few pictures of BB with the Tuna this week at the Senior bowl and he looked relaxed.
How many coaches are we looking to replace as well?
Isn't it interesting that the Pats staff gets picked clean more than any other team year in and year out. They all want some of BB to rub off on them!
thanks

I hope you do well recovering from the coma.

Re: What's the update on replacing Pioli ?

Here's an if that would make Story-of-the-year next year:

"Bill Parcells takes his $12 from Miami and heads North to Foxboro to manage personnel with Belichick."

LOL - the combined blood pressure in those meetings would be something heretofore unprecedented.

Re: What's the update on replacing Pioli ?

What opening(s) would that be?

VP Pioli --> Nick Caserio
ST Seely --> Scott O'Brien
OC McDaniels --> Bill O'Brien
DBs Capers --> ?
TE Mangurian -->?
WR Bill O'Brien --> ?

All that is missing are three assistant Coaches, one of whom was promoted to QB/OC (de facto).

Bill is shaking up the staff, adding new blood.

Scott O'Brien is probably an upgrade.
Josh McDaniels will be missed, but JO looks good.:)

Sorry, I had only heard about Bill OBrien as OC. Hope Nick Caserio does a good job. Don't get any news down hear in Nascarland.
thanks

I heard that Chad Jackson might be brought in to coach the wide receivers. Apparently he's looking for a job.

What opening(s) would that be?

VP Pioli --> Nick Caserio
ST Seeley --> Brain Scott
OC McDaniels --> Bill OBrien
Asst HC/DBs Capers --> Nobody needed
TE Mangurian -->?
WR OBriein --> ?

All that is missing is two assistant Coaches, one of whom was promoted to QB/OC (de facto).

Bill is shaking up the staff, adding new blood.

Brian Scott is probably an upgrade.

I think you mean Scott O'Brien as ST Coach

The football knowledge in those meetings would be something heretofore unprecedented and frightening for the rest of the league.

Dom Capers was not Asst HC. Scar was, is, and will continue to be. Capers was only a "Special Assistant."

And why would you say no DB coach is needed? There's no one currently coaching the DBs. My guess is that they'll promote Josh Boyer. I think we may also see Shane Waldron promoted to one of the vacancies (TEs or WRs) on the offensive side as well.

That's definitely not what I heard ... it's Bethel Johnson.

Am I missing something? I didn't think Caserio was actually named VP of player personell and I think O'Brien was only promoted to QB coach??????

I think the Pats would pass on him :)

There have been no official announcements from the Patriots

on any changes in the front office or coaching personnel.

Thats what I thought....I know everyone expects these things to happen and I do too but this conversation had me thinking I was missing something.

Could you provide a little 411 on Boyer & Waldron.

Thx
