Nic Harris should be on the safety list ... he was not utilized to his strengths.
I hope Belichick has him or William Moore in his sights. Moore will go in the 1st and Harris can be had in the 2nd or even the 3rd if he drops.

Moore will not go in the First Round he looks terrible in Senior Bowl Practices.:(

Seems to be a really deep group of LB. I don't know much about some of them but there are quite a few on the list I would be happy with....Willie and JR say hi to the USC guys and would like to tell you what NE is like. Curry, Cushing, Sintim seem more interesting as we have our youth on the inside already but I wouls be happy with any of the guys on the list that I know. I find it hard to believe that all of Curry, Cushing, Sintim, Maualuga, and Laurinaitis will be gone when we pick and we will have enough extra picks to move up to get the one we really want if we so chose. My plan for the offseason would be to Re-sign Rodney, Sign a starting caliber CB, and draft the best OLB/pass rusher on this list. Anything else would be gravy well except maybe one more safety becuase we can't rely on Rodney to play 90% of the snaps.

Rey Maualuga
James Laurinaitis
Darry Beckwith
Dannell Ellerbe
Jason Phillips
Aaron Curry
Brian Cushing
Clint Sintim
Clay Matthews
Marcus Freeman
also these DE project to OLB according to Mayock
Brian Orakpo
Everette Brown
Aaron Maybin
Larry English

I wouldn't be surprised if no safeties go in round 1. One result is that Sean Jones, a very good but not great player, stands to have a lot of bidders this offseason. The franchise tag is looking likelier and likelier for him. :(

The Pats will benefit the most if the prospects who fit best aren't near round one. With two second rounders, and maybe two third rounders, anyone who slides out of round one is great news for the Pats.

Are you saying we could get Coffman in rd 2 because I think TE is one of the few needs we have on offense.

NE could get a TE at anytime in this draft, I'm expecting Pettigrew to last until the second round and for there to be no round one TEs.

I would be siked if we got one of the USC LB in the first and the best TE in the second.

I would love to get Coffman in the 2nd if he runs well at the combine. His hands and routes are the best in the draft and if he has the speed to work the 8 to 15 yard box and consistently catch the ball, then we can leave Watson in to block or on the bench to serve real players Gatorade.

I am shocked that Mayock has Herm Johnson of LSU listed as highly as he does on the OG list. Johnson has looked pitiful and grossly over weight/out of shape at the senior bowl.

I have been watching WR Iglasias and he doesn't run great routes or look all that fast, but he is constantly getting open and he catches almost everything. If Seattle decides to retain Branch (my first choice for the #3 WR), then maybe this kid would make a better #3 WR than Gaffney.

I think I just read a rumor that Seattle is going to keep him but I can't remember where so no link or anything.

One tight end that is rising fast is Shawn Nelson.

The National Football Post | Senior Bowl Tuesday Recap

"Nelson is a long, angular tight end prospect who looks like a thin tackle when he is asked to block. He displayed great feet and lateral mobility on the edge and had enough power to knock MLB Rey Maualuga off balance and drive him to the ground."

Nelson knocked Rey Maualuga on his butt. That's the kind of nasty blocking that reminds me of a certain Daniel Graham.

I think Harris will be better ... maybe not right away and maybe not a star ... but a solid player to add to our roster.

This is a great draft to have so many picks ... but will Bill use them all?
Kind of hard to see Bill using more than 3 picks in the 1st 3 rounds this year.
I think he'll use 4 picks to grab three players with 1 or 2 deferred to next year if Cassel gets traded.
