Big drop off after the top ten.
Kind of surprised neither the Falcons nor Cardinals didn't get any more love.

very surprising considering we have as many questions to answer as any team i not mor.e
another reason for everyone to hate the pats.

I've got that feeling about the Patriots next season. I'll be backing them to win the SB and also backing them to go through 19-0.

It's just money after all ;)

I'm going to take out a second mortgage and bet it on KC at +$10,000. With Pioli buying the groceries and Herm Edwards drawing up the Xs and Os KC cannot be denied!

I wouldn't mortgage the house, but KC no longer belongs in the same group as the Lions and Raiders.

That's surprising given the Patriots' 2009 schedule and the 2009 schedules of the Steelers, Ravens, and Cardinals.

I don't know about the Superbowl, but I would definitely put a wager on them winning their division. They are going to be really good, really fast.

when you think about it, we are in great shape. we have Brady coming back. plus we have 3 picks in the top 50. the holes on our team come at positions where guys have been able to come into this league and be productive right away out of college (DL, LB, OL, S), except 1 position (CB). so if you think about it, we have a great opportunity to fill holes immediately with a greaet draft. plus this isnt including any picks we may receive if Brady is healthy enough to allow us to trade Cassel

I'm surprised the Lions aren't lower in that for odds. Hmm, maybe I'll throw $2 on them....:p

$100 on the Pats would be a pretty darn good risk/reward IMO

Me too, but maybe they are shying away due to the way the Falcons came out of nowhere. Lately these teams that come out of nowhere to make the playoffs tend to be suckish the next year...like the Browns from last year or the Saints every year since they went to the NFCCG.

Edit: Just saw it will be played in Miami. How great would it be to go 18-0 and win the Super Bowl IN Miami. :)

forget undefeated seasons. lets just worry about championships

if we can have a shot at 19-0 Part II that's be f*cking amazing, but all i would is a championship. heck we could go 9-8 and barely get in and i wouldnt care as long as we win SB 44.

i live out here in KC. I love Pioli.

But are you people NUTS???????

Based on what exactly? Maybe if Brady is the starting QB opening day????? Not sure what gives them all this info to make that kind of prediction......Last I checked we had some glaring holes on this team.........I guess it is "crystal ball" kind of stuff....

As of right now, as posted - we have 3 out of the first 50 picks.

We may very well end up with...

2 first round picks (Cassel trade)
3 second round picks (Cassel trade)
2 third round picks (Samuel compensatory)

We're coming off an 11-5 season, despite one of the worst injury plagued seasons in franchise history and have a hall-of-fame QB in his prime returning from an injury he will have had a year to recover from.

Every team has holes. Pats were playing as good as any team in the league at the end of 2008. I presume they'll be even better once they get some of their key cogs back for 2009, let alone building through the draft and some potential trades.

You make some good points disco, but you know how draft picks are in terms of long term success......I think If Brady comes back full strength.......we are obvious favorites......otherwise......not so sure on that......
