Re: KC Star:Kraft hated losing pioli

LOL. who wouldn't hate to lose Pioli...i mean really...

but having to decide between Pioli and BB...well i think thats quite easy

Re: KC Star:Kraft hated losing pioli

“Time will tell,” Kraft said. “I think he’ll do an excellent job. There are a lot of things that happen … it’s the chemistry of the key people, things that happen beyond your control, but in the end, he has good football judgment, and I hope he does well except against the New England Patriots.

:agree: At least he said what all of us are thinking. :)

Re: KC Star:Kraft hated losing pioli

Just continues to show the class of this organization... not sure I ever read other orgs. comments about departing folks like I have about McDaniels and Pioli.

we all could hate this loss, only time will tell

all we can do is stand firm w/bb

I honestly think that Pioli didn't go elsewhere in previous years or even to Cleveland this year because he was looking for something more from ownership. In hearing him speak today about the Patriots organization I believe he was looking for a solid family organization and not just a straight business/corporate type ownership. KC was a unique opportunity in that regard. Add in the rabid fans and you have a great situation.

The flipside here could mean that BB will be with us for years to come.

Perhaps McDaniels and Pioli would not have left if they knew BB was going to retire soon.

In the end, thank god we have the problem that the other teams want our people. It sucks but having 31 other teams avoiding our guys like the plague is worse.

Ask the Lions and Rams.

Nice read, i think this is our biggest loss so far since BB came here.

HAHA classic! and all the fans behind him!

Found this in a Jason Whitlock column on the KC Star site.

Though he probably was demeaning Belichick, I actually took it as a compliment. :D Guess BB is my kind of person......

Edwards is the anti-Bill Belichick.
Edwards is Barack Obama, a politician concerned with media and public perception. Belichick is Jack Bauer, a ruthless mercenary who deals with everyone on a need-to-know basis. Edwards’ main concern is his own survival. Belichick’s lone concern is the completion of the mission.

Whitlock wants Herm fired, so I think it's a compliment.

I thought he would have loved it.

MCDaniels maybe.

The impression I got from Pioli's presser is he would have been fine staying in NE, but his wife wanted to live in and raise their daughter in KC which is where she grew up so he made the job change to relocate to keep Mrs. Pioli happy.

KC has got everything you would want in a football team...except good players. the ownership is great and the fans are some of the best in football IMO. I think it is a good fit for him

Heh heh, funny to see the comments at the bottom of the article, KC fans are gushing over Kraft.

maybe he can come back later? or is this final?
Once he's branded with the "KC" in the correct manner (see diagram below), it's a done deal.

I think after last year's SB loss; the for NFl standards, extended time on the job by the Belichick-led regime, let alone his own with N.E.; and the now in YR. 10 of the Brady career; it was obvious to him that the Patriot reign was somewhere on the back nine, and a perfect time to move on. However, the additional loss of Seely, even though apparently a slight promotion to the Browns, , could be more of a harbinger to the future than the Pioli departure. Though probably unlikely, the unheralded and loyal Seely going to dark side (Mangini) could signal Belichick's end game in New England is much sooner than later.
