Here's what I could come up with. I'm such a geek when it comes to these senior/shrine bowls!

A few prospects I'm curious about:

Courtney Greene: Rutgers, Safety - Solid in run support, but not great in coverage.

Measurements from Shrine game weigh-in.

Courtney Greene, 6004/211, 31 1-4" arms, 8 1-2" hands - Monday rpt: Courtney Greene was a bit more fluid in drills but dropped passes and couldn't chase USF receiver Taurus Johnson down the sideline during 7-on-7's…and Johnson's no burner. No mention from Tuesday.

Ian Johnson, 5111/204, 30" arms, 9 3-8" hands - No mention for either day other than getting tackled by CB Cary Harris (USC).

Jarrett Dillard 5102/185, 30 7-8" arms, 8 1-8" hands - Monday: Receiver Jarrett Dillard looked right at home on the practice field (Rice University is literally right down the road from Reliant, after all), not dropping a single pass whether downfield or in traffic over the middle. He was the best receiver for either team today. Tuesday: Jarrett Dillard (Rice), on the other hand, just keeps catching the ball and running excellent routes. He did show he was human, however, letting one ball bounce off his outstretched hands. Still…you still hear scouts saying "that kid from Rice looks good this week…he still can't run" as if plenty of guys running in the mid 4.5's haven't made careers in the NFL. Just ask Miami about former Hawaii receiver Davone Bess…The smallest hands? Florida State kicker Graham Gano (7 1/2"), although Jarrett Dillard's 8 1/8" measurement was certainly more detrimental to his draft stock (his 30 7/8" arm length didn't exactly great, either). But the bottom line is that Dillard has caught almost everything thrown to him this week and Faletoese's more than held his own inside…so it's important not to get too caught up in these numbers.

Jarron Gilbert 6050/287, 35 5-8" arms, 10 1-4" hands - Monday: San Jose State DT/DE Jarron Gilbert displayed quickness and length (he's 6'6") inside. As you'd expect, however, he could be moved easily by double teams. Tuesday: DT Jarron Gilbert (San Jose State) even threw a punch at OG Ray Feinga (BYU) during a short tussle today. Bright has really struggled with the speed of guys like Jarron Gilbert. As I mentioned earlier, Feinga has pounded Gilbert, along with others, resulting in some back-and-forth there. Jarron Gilbert's arms could almost act as yardsticks (35 5/8").

Jason Phillips, 6003/236, 30 1-4" arms, 9" hands - Monday: A couple of scouts were heard talking about TCU inside linebacker Jason Phillips, both basically saying he "just makes plays." His physical handling of running backs over the middle took away the QB's safety valve. Tuesday: No mention.

Fresno State's Bear Pascoe struggled to get off the line of scrimmage and could not separate from any linebacker at the second level, making it tough for the quarterback to even try to throw the ball to him.

I liked the short description of Seth Olsen, who helped carve holes for Shonn Greene in Iowa this year, so I did a bit of research - he's got the measurables the Pats desire in their O-linemen. Currently grades out as a UDFA according to NFLDraftScout:

He's been invited for the Combine as well, so I'll be interested to see his workouts go there.

Hmmmm.

Houston OT Sebastian Vollmer… rotated between left and right tackle, under-rated, homegrown talent who is still very new and raw to football; born in Kaarst, Germany, long, lean frame and could be a nice developmental type tackle for a team that employs a zone blocking scheme.

Fresno State's Bear Pascoe struggled to get off the line of scrimmage and could not separate from any linebacker at the second level, making it tough for the quarterback to even try to throw the ball to him.

This is what I noticed in the Fresno/Colorado State game: he can find holes in zones but can't shake defenders one-on-one. Speaking for the Pats (hey, why not? ), do they want a blocking tight end who catches 15 passes in a season, or do they play Hochstein at TE and draft a receiving TE?

Or, do they go for an H-back type as a rookie free agent?

One of my favorite "football players' in this draft. Hope he does well in his conversion from DE. There's a lot to like about this student-athlete.

That's my impression also. Watching him this season, he seemed to have a s...l...o....w first steps on the rush. Sure tackler, good leadership skills, but he seems pure run stuffer. I think his only chance to play in New England is at the Mike. I suppose he could make it on Special Teams, and maybe learn the ropes behind Bruschi for a year.

Atypical of Pats 'smurf' receivers. Could be useful in the red zone though... I need to find out more about him.

"Iowa OG Seth Olson… handled his opponent effectively during most of his 1-on-1’s, including a few times where he stoned him or drove him right back off the snap."

A round 3 prospect at OG?

"Memphis DT Clinton McDonald… very quick off the ball, shed initial blockers in most of his 1-on-1 reps, made good use of his hands and stood out among DT’s."

Depending on his size, could he be taught to play 2 gap?

"Iowa CB Bradley Fletcher… has the best size of the CB’s on his side and it helped today as he had a few good plays, including an interception during the 7-on-7 portion of the workout. Area scouts already know he ran 4.4’s in the spring, so a big week here could push him towards being a 3rd-4th round choice."

Big, fast corner. BB doesn't go for those or does he?

There will definitely be some pros coming out of this pool of talented prospects. The question will be, can the Pats personnel people find some diamonds?
