What's that tickle in my throa.... "spewwww!"

Report: Pioli to Chiefs - Reiss' Pieces - Boston.com

Patriots vice president of player personnel Scott Pioli had agreed to become head of football operations of the Kansas City Chiefs, ESPN's Michael Smith reported this afternoon. The National Football Post also reported this afternoon that Pioli has accepted the job.

The Globe has not confirmed the news at this time. On Sunday and Monday, the Globe reported that the intensity of talks between Pioli and the Chiefs was rising.

Also, following up on today's Globe report that special teams coach Brad Seely and special assistant/secondary coach Dom Capers weren't expected to be back with the Patriots, the Cleveland Plain Dealer writes that Seely is expected to join the Browns.

GOOD! He can go mess up the Brown's special teams. I have not been all that impressed with our special teams over that last few years. Apparently, BB hasn't been impressed either.

yeah, my thoughts exactly

I wonder if we can steal the Bills' ST coach.

Wow, a lot of turnover that will certainly test 'the system'.....kind of has the feeling of when RAC and CW left. (except we aren't coming off of back to back rings)

Sometimes change is good.....

Who knows? Maybe BB wants to make changes.

I honestly can't imagine that Seely wasn't shown the door politely but firmly by the Pats. I can't see Mangini "stealing" Seely if BB didn't want him to go.

That said, BB has praised Seely highly in the past. In the last couple of years, however, STs have been a bit less impressive which may have been the catalyst.

But still -- Ghost's development, Hobbs' development as K returner and pretty solid kick and punt coverage. Not like it's been terrible or anything.

When it comes to Seely, you might be right... but combined with the OC, the VP, and Capers (presumably) gonna be a awful lot of change at the same time.

I've seen Seely's name mentioned in the past as a potential head coach candidate. The fact is he's been with BB for a long time, so I doubt BB wanted to see him go. I find it curious that ex-Pats coaches are teaming with Tubby Ratfink (Daboll, RAC in an advisory role, now Seely).

Wow, so much for "everyone in NE despises Mangini" theory. I wonder if Seely talked to Bill before taking the job and if Bill gave him the blessing to do so.

Brad Seely was a good ST coach, last season not withstanding. Injuries can take a tool on ST too. Like the jets game when ventrone was knocked out. So much for anyone from BB's staff joining mangini.
Seems like this is a daily patriots exodus this week. Wonder who it will be tommorow. :(

I think he is excellent whoever he is. The Jets also had a very well respected ST Coach...:(

Housecleaning time:eek: Seely can go but this Mangini Magnestism is a little over the top.

Each move separately isn't so bad but combine them all and it's a wow. Did we sell the team to Al Davis:D

Seriously, maybe it's time for some changes.

I don't see anywhere that he took the job, yet.

I nominate Bobby April of the Bills, or Paul Westhoff of the JEST as the Pats new ST Coach...

Who is a little angry he has not been given a more serious look for the J E T S HC job. He might be available.

ST is actually an area that a new coach could make a difference in, positively, or negatively. Offense and front office I expect to roll on, business as usual, but ST could be an interesting outside hire.
