wow, thats a shock to me. i thought he would never retire. as long as peyton is there, though,i dont know if there will be a huge decline in their performance

Wow I thought he would be back for another one but I guess it was time for him to move on to the cloth.

I don't think there will be either, at least not the first year. I think Dungy is a good coach (hate him, but he's good), but I think their defense is fairly simple in its concept and Peyton and Tom Moore run the offense. Those things won't change that much.

If there is a decline, it'll be because Peyton gets older and drops off, but I'm not expecting that next year either.

Still goes out on a high note - The Colts made a good comeback over the course of the season.

Still, quite a year of changes in the NFL.

Hopefully there'll be an immediate decline in the "St. Dungy and his Holy Colts Backup Dancers" press treatment.

Or it could get worse if Caldwell is successful...

"Dungy is so great and unselfish, that he prepared his successor to be even better than he was. He doesn't care about his own legacy, he truly cares about his team."

:violent:

Yeah, if you consider cr***ing the bed in the Wild Card round for the second year in a row "a high note."

I just threw up a little bit. Thanks.

Very good guy where it seemed everyone around him respected him..

BUT HE IS PROBABLY THE MOST OVER RATED COACH in the past 10 years.. He's played in some of the weakest divisions and had the most talent and basically flopped every year, except one..

I rather see him stay as a Pats fan..

Dungy steps down

Favre retires?

McNabb leaves Philly?

Now if Jerry Jones would only sell the Cowboys after cutting TO; maybe the National Soap Opera Football League can get closed out.

Don't forget Al Davis... right after he trades us Asomugha for a conditional 6th rounder of course :D

there is hope.

New head coach Jim Caldwell's career record as a head coach, for the Wake Forest Demon Deacons, was an eye-popping 26-63.

I don't know if this a good thing or not. The guy was a great regular season coach, but choked a lot in the playoffs.

Wil we be able to watch his rapture live right after the press conference?

Finally, he can liberate his wings.

Even more so than beating us. If we had lost to SD in 06. DB falls down. Take
knee game over. Easy as 1-2-3. Colts would have travelled out there and got
absolutely waxed by the Chargers. Chargers win Super Bowl. If's and but were candy
and nuts we'd all be happy. Colts never win a Super Bowl.
