It's easy, and only takes a few moments. It is ironic that for the past three years a decent number of Patriots' fans have rooted quietly for the Browns because they'd like to see Romeo do well; but now . . .Oh good, one more team to hate that I didn't hate yesterday.

i dont know about great but it isnt as bad a hire as one might think according to my opinion. the jets really did mangini a favore by firing him . ifhe was stll there then if favre returned he wouldve been screwed and if he didnt he wouldnt have a decent QB with 1 yr left in the contract.I might be in the minority here, but I think this was a great hire by the Browns. I think that Mangini is a good coach who was made the scapegoat in NY for their epic collapse. He managed 10 wins in his first season with a playoff appearance, had an awful second season, and had his team playing great in his third season until his QB torpedoed the whole operation. IMO, I think Favre was forced on Mangini and he got stuck with a guy who didn't want the type of offense Mangini wanted to run (ball control).
So even though I think the guy is an ingrate for ratting out the guy who hired him as a ball boy and then mentored him into becoming a HC in the NFL, he does do a good job gameplanning for teams. He needs to learn how to make better adjustments but the guy can definitely coach.
Just read that ex Patriots assistants Rob Ryan and Brian Daboll will be DC and OC respectively.
For the position of defensive coordinator, sources told Smith that Mangini will bring aboard Raiders defensive coordinator Rob Ryan, whose contract with Oakland also is up. Sources also said that Mangini and Crennel discussed the possibility of Crennel returning to work with Mangini but decided it best to both go in a different direction.
Mangini will hire Jets quarterbacks coach Brian Daboll, whose contract is expiring, as his offensive coordinator, league sources told Smith.
I thought Ryan was the DC in Oakland. Is Al Davis gonna just let him go? It will probably be Romeo as DC.

Hopefully this bit of news means that RAC will be back w/the Pats:
Eric Mangini agrees to deal to coach Cleveland Browns - ESPN
Didn't the majority of you guy's say Mangini would never get another Coaching job in the NFL after the horrible sins he made against the Pats?
Well Ha Ha Ha, to you then.:singing:
Mangini can teach and coach, he just can't make adjustments in game, I am glad he is not the Jet coach, and I wish him well.
Yes, and I was one of them. And I stand by it. Since when are the Browns in the NFL?Didn't the majority of you guy's say Mangini would never get another Coaching job in the NFL after the horrible sins he made against the Pats?

lol, we did, but apparently one team was willing to give him a job...look at the owner though, that should pretty much explain everything

It's all about timing .
