Having Stuttered Most of His Life, Darren Sproles Now Serves as Inspiration to Others - NFL FanHouse

Not only has he over-come his size on the field, he's over-come a speech impediment that many people never do.

Sproles is a guy I'd love to see the Pats add. Not just because of his abilities, but because he is a truly class act. LdT could learn a thing or two from Sproles

That would require Raiders-level incompetence. Granted, Chargers incompetence is a wondrous sight on its own, but it isn't the EPIC FAIL that is the Raiders.

Adding Sproles to the Pats is similar to when the Raiders added Larry Brown to their secondary. One hit wonders. Sproles fumbles and is injury prone like Maroney. Don't be surprised if the the Steelers defense doesn't send Sproles stock down to $0.

And he needs to improve his blocking too. But they used to say those things about Faulk (myself included). Now, I wish we could field 11 Kevin Faulks, and it sounds like Sproles is made of the same stuff.

WOW. UMM.. WOW. You really don't know what you are talking about, do you? Sproles isn't a one hit wonder. And he's not injury prone. He missed ONE season (2006) because of a shattered ankle. Yet, he came back from that and is a stellar kick returner and has picked up the slack at RB with LdT nursing his bumps and bruises.

And, I'd like to remind you that Kevin Faulk fumbled a lot too. But, Like Kevin, Sproles has gone out of his way to improve his game spending tons of time with the Jugs machine to ensure that he catches properly and handles punts properly. He's also been working on protecting the ball better. Like Faulk did.

Do San Diego have their own running back factory or something?

WOW. No wonder you can't be taken seriously. First off, teams threw at Asante with regularity. They didn't stay away from him and pick on Hobbs. That is just you being obtuse and making sh!t up.

Re: Is Pioli as good as some teams think?

WOW.. I didn't think you were that stupid, but you are. I hat to break this to you, but PWP didn't need to read that book because he's got more intelligence in his little toe than you will ever have...

WOW. You know nothing about Maroney. Maroney wasn't a combine guy in any way. And please don't be stupid and claim that he never was the primary back in Minnesota because he was. People point to...

see a trend? the act is getting old. looks like the reincarnation of NEM demaning everyone.

What's the first reason.

Until he finds another uniform I don't have any reason to like him. I am glad he beat the Colts but I still don't like him.

Not sure you put this in the right thread.

you're right I could have put it in about 50 threads. the point is a message board is for discussion not for insulting people

id like to see sproles on the team too, but it doesnt make sense financially... especially if Cassel signs the potential franchise tender. Sproles will be looking for a hefty paycheck, not top tier, but pretty high. we've proven that we can plug people into the position and get solid production of them and then have them vanish back into obscurity (i.e. BenJarvusGreenEllis). i'm not saying it will work forever, but i don't think it's a top priority... especially if the cap will be tight.

were not gonna get sproles he is gonna demand a big pay day.
