That by the end of the week, Mangini is going to be the head coach of the Browns

He says that his sources told him that Mangini blew Lerner away with his interview and the job is his is he wants it

Are the Browns that stupid?

Let me get this straight. They hire Crennel. He can't make it work. So they go out and hire Crennel's understudy, a guy who failed in his last job, a guy who has less experience and football knowledge than Crennel, and who players are far less likely to respect.... And they think they're going to get results?

Are you kidding me?

Bingo!
I am flabbergasted at such irrational decision making. Even without considering Mangini's demonstrated penchant for screwing over his former employer, the decision makes no sense. Mangini failed after the front office spent a bundle on FAs and his chief rival lost GOAT Tom Brady for the entire season, leaving the AFCE supposedly for the taking. He UNDERPERFORMED the coach of the Dolphins. Worst of all, there's substantive evidence that Mangini lacked Jets' player respect. What is different now, less than a month later???

My only fear is that he raids the Jets coaching staff and brings the other doofuses with him to Cleveland instead of leaving them here for BB to play with.

Seriously, how is he going to straighten out that lockerroom? Don't they have a QB controversy, a WR controversy, problems with a recurrent staff infection, a TE controversy, and they are in a division with TWO good teams, the Steelers & the Ravens, instead of just one. Good luck Tubby, you're gonna need it!

He should have the team in even more disarray by 2010 when the Pats play the AFC North again. Chalk up a win for us in that one.
