NBCSports.com's Tom Curran joined the show to give a couple of updates
1. Boston College needed some continuity at head coach and the school thought Jeff Jagodzinski would provide stability. Part of the problem is that Jagodzinski didn't tell B.C. what was up. Curran said that the Jets will not hire Jagodzinski. He doesn't have the impressive resume the Jets are looking for.
2. Curran says Tom Brady's knee is still screwed up, so the Patriots will franchise-tag Matt Cassel. Curran even says Cassel will play next year, because he doesn't expect Brady to be ready by Week 1.
