Be of good cheer Patriots Nation. Let's look at the glass as half full. The Colts lost and They are already whining. The Dolphins lost and really weren't competitive and Assante Samuel scores on a "Pick Six" Not bad for the first weekend of the Playoffs. If WE can't be in the playoffs let's enjoy others' misery !

If Manning number 2 gets knocked out by the Eagles next week - I will call this season a "success"...

Except for the 6 of us going to Gillette last night at 8:00 with our playoff tickets in hand.....only to be denied entry. Gates we're locked and nobody was there.

What a suck ass weekend, all things considered.

First things first, the Manning/Manning Bowl was squashed. 1-15 to Super Bowl, though it had .000001% chance of happening, is now dead.

Next up: Eli must lose. Have to root against Pittsburgh too.

It's coming together ;)

Aside from the Ravens -DolFRAUDS game I've enjoyed the games this weekend. It was only frustrating to watch the frauds go out there and lay down after stealing our playoff spot and show just how badly we got snubbed.

But the other games were great to watch IMO. Obviously I rather would watch the Pats in the playoffs but I find myself mostly stressing during their games, now I can sit back and cooly enjoy these teams battle it out. Now let's just see the Steelers/Giants go down and it will be a win for us.

I'm not rooting for ***ante, in fact I'll be rooting for the Giants next week to get his ass out.

I was thrilled with the Colts' loss, happy with the Dolphins' loss and happy that T. Jackson looked as crappy as I expected as the Vikings are a possibility to want Cassel. Their defense and running game is too good to waste on QB like Jackson and Frerotte.

Jests went nowhere and are now in disarray...

Colts One And Done-gy PLUS the media and the fans are calling for heads to roll LOL...

Miami's been exposed for the improved -but- they- are -who -we- thought -they -were team...

So far so good :D

Me too (stressing). I think it's because we've gotten so accustomed to winning, with all the New England teams, that the prospect of losing a game really sucks. When you root for a .500 team or worse, you're happy to see a win now and then. I see a big Pats rebound next year (not that this year's record was bad at all).

Agreed, it's all coming together. If the giants and pitt loose next weekend, I will consider it a "successful" playoff from a pats fans perspective.

I am not happy about Assante though. Why couldn't he catch the ball like that in the superbowl???

Remind me again why I'm supposed to be happy that the Dolphins and Colts have higher draft picks now?

Also, the second round pick from the Chargers could be the 31st or

32nd pick in the second round.

It could but they aren't going to beat Pittsburgh next week with Sproles as their RB. Indy is one thing; Pittsburgh is another.

why will the Colts and Dolphins get a higher pick than us? They both has a better record than us and made the playoffs....

They don't.

The Colts are 12-5 that's better than 11-5.

Besides a few picks lower isn't going to kill us, especially at the end of the 2nd round. History shows we don't necessarily take players where they're valued/projected, we take the players we want. If we were 4 picks higher this year (which makes a much bigger difference in the top 10 than it would between 20-25), do you think we would've taken Gholston over Mayo? And if we did would it have benefitted us?

The Colts are 12-5 that's better than 11-5.

They only use the regular season wins/losses, not post season but when you look at all the 11-5 teams, the non playoff ones (pats only) are grouped and pick before the 11-5 playoff teams (Bal,Miami etc)

So we still pick before Miami?

How is his success making me feel better? That is a Pat's negative in my book

now we need the steelers and giants to lose, and well be one step closer

after that, i woudlnt mind having SD lose, nothing personal, but i want a high 2nd rd pick as possible

if 2 of 3 happen, it will be a great weekend
