Casserly reiterates Brady is doing well

Yeah, I just heard it too. Looks like the "anonymous source" is probably wrong once again.

I think the anonymous source is a VERY upset "team" Dr. that did not get a chance to punch his ticket by doing Tom's surgery.

It's does not take a rocket scientist to figure out that any Dr. that does high profile surgery's automatically becomes a public figure and HUGE $$'s start rolling in.

How about having Tom Brady's Knee surgery on your resume? How much is that worth? Crazy money.

On WEEI this AM Felgie was commenting on Tomase's latest Herald snipet where the fat boy from Tufts reiterated Curran's points. Felgis stated that Curran's reports were based on his unique access to actual medical reports and facts while those saying Brady is on schedule (Silver, Casserly, etc.) are just parroting their inside the Patriots and therefore agenda biased sources.

Tomase's input is the KISS OF DEATH for any credibility that Curran had with me on this topic. He knows less than nothing about what's going on and Felger and his agenda driven crap knows even less. This type of crap is EXACTLY why I do not trust the media.

If Tom Brady was struggling as badly as they believe, I doubt highly that the Patriots would allow him to be traveling back and forth between the West Coast and East coast, attend charity events and walk all over Boston with his girlfriend. Bob Kraft has a lot invested in Brady, I don't think that he would allow Brady to put himself at risk if his knee was not making progress. You need your knees to walk too.

I think it depends the way you look at it. Brady is behind from when the original surgery took place but ahead of schedule after getting rid of the infection.

I take everything Casserly with a grain of salt because of his obvious disdain for BB. There is always an agenda behind what he reports.

He better hope that never is confirmed or Tom can sue to the point of bankruptcy EVERYONE involved in that little scandal - and be backed by the Federal Govt. in which they would revoke licenses.

Scary - Curran might want to shut up or stop talking to Felger.

Unique access to Brady's medical reports? Whoa. Hard to believe that's true given the HIPAA laws etc. Poor Tom is all I can say:mad:

Bear in mind "medical reports" in the way he uses that phrase may mean reports from those in the medical profession, not access to actual medical records (like he could read those things if he could look at them). For all we know, the "reports" may be from the guy mopping the floor at the medical facility who heard it from a guy who was in the elevator with a doctor who had talked to the guy who did the surgery on Brady.

I doubt any medical facility or medical professional would be dumb enough to spill a story to the media as the privacy laws make the list of possible culprits fairly small for subsequent litigation purposes.

I'll bet on Tom and his drive to return to the field, but I give none of these reports, good or bad, any credibility.

Exactly SC. I'm no expert on it but I know medical information is considered part of one's "personal information", right up there with your SS#.

And giving out personal information by anyone in the healthcare profession can get you prison time and fines.

True enough MP. Whatever. It just annoys me the way our media conducts their business lately. I guess it's ALL media really, not just ours.

I do think if Curran give his sources enough money, they probably will give up the medical report to him

Now this IS confusing. Who has an agenda, who is the mouthpiece for it, and what is the agenda?

Completely opposite answers to these questions can be sussed from this thread

Why would any responsible person defending someone(curren) announce on the radio that Curren had Brady's "medical reports" ? Maybe the Nfl needs to find out what "medical Reports" mean?

LOL! Did Felger even read Tomase's column? All Tomase says is that because the infection required Brady to wait six weeks to make sure it is cleared up, that means that Brady is six weeks behind schedule. How does that back up Curran's claims? The only thing he said about additional time is another two weeks to deal with the scar tissue.

From Tomase's article"

* An NBCSports.com report last weekend generated quite a bit of buzz and the predictable denials after its assertion that Tom Brady [stats]’s 2009 season could be in jeopardy.

If one reads the story, there’s very little to actually disagree over. The infection that took hold in Brady’s left knee has been well-documented, and no one is disputing that Brady will probably need surgery to remove scar tissue.

The story’s premise -- that Brady is well behind in his rehab -- is indisputable, no matter how the respective camps want to spin things.
He needed six weeks of antibiotics to fight the infection. The scar tissue issue could cost him at least two more.

Reporters aren’t known for their mathematical ability, but six weeks plus two weeks equals eight weeks, which equals two months.
Sounds like he’s behind to me.

Apparently Tomase isn't bright enough to figure out that when people are saying that Brady is ahead of schedule it is based on the revised timeline. So when you have morons and Tomase backing up Curran, Curran may be better off admitting he got it wrong (even if he didn't).

BTW, if you listened to Curran last Sunday on WEEI, he was saying that Brady was 12-16 weeks behind schedule.

Also, if he got his information from medical reports from the Patriots medical staff, Adam Schefter already said that there are people on the Patriots medical staff who are bitter Brady had the operation on the West Coast and are spreading false info. Possibly the severity of Brady's prognosis. Maybe the medical information that Brady has scar tissue is true, but how much it will set him back is way overblown in the Curran article.

Dr. Andrews said when Brady first got the infection he would likely have to have scar tissue removed. Not new news.

It's very simple. Don't trust what you hear from the media.

This came out a few months ago as well from ESPN and pats issued a strong denial that they were unhappy and that ESPN shouldve checked it before reporting. I dont have a link to that statement.
All this so called unhappiness etc is cooked up because the pats are so buttoned down and dont respond to anything so they say anything which sticks.

Well, it could be two different stories. ESPN had that the Pats as an organization were upset. Schefter made it sound like only certain individuals within the Patriots medical staff are upset. There is a signifcant difference in those two points..... Well, assuming Schefter is right that it is only a few individuals.

Just heard on NFL Today .

Whether Brady is behind or ahead of schedule, ESPN has a story online that the Pats are planning to use the franchise tag on Cassel, so if things go bad with Brady, atleast we could have Cassell ready to go.

How would ESPN know what is going on with the Patriots organization?
