(1) The second most valuable RB of 2008? Kevin Faulk.
(2) The most valuable QB in terms of rushing? Matt Cassel.
(3) The least valuable QB in terms of rushing? Lord Favre. :D

And, my favorite statistic. . . .

Arizona's final win tweaked the opponent adjustments enough that last week's 47-7 Patriots blowout over the Cardinals now stands as the greatest single DVOA game of all-time, at 143.8%.

Kevin Faulk is so underrated. All that guy does is become clutch on third downs.

Here's a tough decision--if you were a QB, and you could have Welker or Faulk, but not both, who do you take? :)

No. 3 is funny because during the Jets deplorable performance on Sunday, a couple of times, on 3rd and short (and the ensuing punt), I said to my husband, "Why don't they ever run Favre? It would be such a shock, he'd surely make the 1st down." I can't recall ever seeing the guy run? Was he ever a scrambler early in his career?

Before someone beats me to it - Faulk gets the edge for blitz pickup:D

Tell me about it! I still wake up in the middle of the night yelling NOOOOOOOO while reliving the nightmare completion to Faulk on 3rd and 11 against the Chargers in the AFCCG last year. What a throw, what a catch by Faulk! Dagger to the heart of the Chargers that day. It took the spirit out of the defense and the Patriots were able to run out the rest of the clock after that play.

All he knows how to do is throw, throw, throw, but not necessarily to anyone in particular.

What the heck is DVOA mean?

DVOA = Defense-adjusted [or, more accurately, Opponent-adjusted] Value Over Average.

In other words, given how good your opponents were, how good/bad were you compared to how a league-average team would do. Apparently, in the decade-plus they've been doing this, the Cardinals' "drive-by" was the most pathetic showing ever.
