Keepers: Tom Brady, Matt Cassel, and Kevin O'Connell.

Analysis: Neither Cassel, who led the Patriots to just two field goals in 17 exhibition possessions, nor Gutierrez, who threw two interceptions and had a fumble in 14 series, was impressive. But Cassel, who is entering his fourth year, won out on experience. Plus, some of the team's troubles scoring with him at QB were tied to poor offensive line play, untimely penalties, or turnovers such as Faulk's fumble inside the Tampa Bay 30-yard line.

How interesting that this reflected the same way when the season started--the offensive line just didn't help at all. In fact, they sure didn't help Brady either, who must have been surprised when a KC defensive player got to him.

No offense, but unless I'm missing something of the relevance of fresh Kevin O'Connell and Matt Cassel pre-season performance and prediction review threads just days before the final regular season games, you might want to consider that thread topics that appear "interesting" at 3:44 am, might actually not be.

Thats the best part of it. We will actually have some really positive stuff to talk about this offseason. Lots of draft picks, and lots of young talent.
