The man is an icon.

Doesn't he deserve to have his final game of the season be a win at home at the Meadowlands?

Go Brett! We love you.

Re: The Brett Favre appreciation thread.....

Talk about a dilemma.

If this game meant nothing, I'd be rooting for the fish and the rejected Penny.

I think I better just watch the Ravens game.

Re: The Brett Favre appreciation thread.....

I look at like I'm rooting for the Fish to lose not the Jets to win. I'd rather add another AFC East Division title to the mantle and host a game, either the Jets or Ravens, rather than go on the road to Miami. It will be difficult to beat the Ravens at home but it will also be difficult to beat Miami twice, in their place, in the span of 6 weeks. In the end I'm happy to get into the playoffs any way possible.

Yes lord Farve needs to fulfill his destiny and win that game. GO BRETT :rocker::rocker::rocker:

Re: The Brett Favre appreciation thread.....

I hope Favre throws 5 TDs, has the best regular season game for a QB in the history of the NFL, replaces Elway as new the comeback kid, makes Dan Fouts look like and dink and dunk QB, or just hands-off and watches Leon Washington pull a Willis McGahee-vs.-the Cowboys all day long....

Re: The Brett Favre appreciation thread.....

Brett, I was particularly thankful how on week 17 of the 2002 season, seeing you belly laughing on the Packer sideline at the Meadowlands, after pathetically tanking the critical finale versus Jets, thus gift wrapping the remaining playoff spot to Jets. Favre, smirk-smiling, seemed delighted that his non-effort denied Brady and the World Champs a chance to repeat.

Brett Favre: Greatest QB of all-time or Greatest Human Being of all time?

I support Brett and the Jets 100%.

Re: The Brett Favre appreciation thread.....

Brett Favre kicks Chuck Norris' ass.

Re: The Brett Favre appreciation thread.....

I want this game to end in a 2-2 tie. I want Favre to throw six interceptions, all in the red zone. I'm sick of that media whore.

Re: The Brett Favre appreciation thread.....

there is no dilemma, we need the jets to win

Re: The Brett Favre appreciation thread.....

This creates quite a moral conundrum, as I want to play pizz poor and have a crappy turnover filled game.. cannot stand either one of these scum sucking bottom feeding franchises along with their dumb azz fans..

But gonna have to root for the dark green this week, gonna hurt though...

Re: The Brett Favre appreciation thread.....

Singularly, the greatest human that has ever walked the face of the earth (just ask John Madden) and the lowly Dolphins don't even deserve to be on the same field with him. If God and the Devil were playing a game of football, Brett Favre would be the stadium, the field, and the sky above. The Dolphins should simply lay down at his feet in complete awe of the man that is The Hero. To even try to play a real game against him is sheer lunacy.

Go Brett, we love ya man.

Re: The Brett Favre appreciation thread.....

I'm pretty sure in 2002 the Packers could have gotten a 1st round bye with a win over the Jets, so they did have something to play for and still tanked. The loss pitted them in the WC round against the Falcons who destroyed them at Lambeau.

Now if Favre/Mangini lay down one ends their career on a pitiful 6 game stretch and one is perhaps fired. Baltimore could still lose too which gives their season life. There is no way to think they would not be fired up to win this game, but with our luck....

Re: The Brett Favre appreciation thread.....

Ugh... normally I'd rather wish to have a big wedge of Humble Pie* be shoved up my you know what than to cheer for either of these teams. But.... given the circumstances...... yeah...... Go Rats. Go Lord Favrequad.

*Trademark Bill Belichick

The best thing I can say about Favre is even when he is having a mediocre year like this one, he is capable of having a handful of All Pro type of games. Hopefully, this weekend will be one of them and he didn't use them up in the 3-4 game stretch in the middle of the season.

My man, Lord Faaaavrrre needs to come up big in his swan song this Sunday. Sadly, I've always respected Pennington as a winner but I wish him the worst Sunday.

J... E... T... S Jets! JETS! JETS!!!!!

My fear is that THIS will be the situation Sunday at 7:15 PM EST....

I think you meant to say "legone", not legond" as in "le gone" i.e. the gone (but wait - he may be back ;) ).

It pains me to do this, but sacrifices must be made.....

Go Brett.....

there is clearly only one right answer to that question for Pats fans this week, but I did have to hold my nose to choose it.

I love you Brett!
