Dirty bastages...

The Ravinz are also flexed to 4 so the Jets can still be playing for the WC spot with a W.

This is absolutely pathetic. I hope that Kraft b!tches about this because it was my understanding that games were to be "flexed" only to the 8 PM Sunday game. Now the league is changing games to suit themselves. Both games directly affect the Patriots and its clear that the league is setting them up to get screwed...

I will be taping BOTH games and if there seems to be anything fishy, you can be damned sure that it will be going to Arlen Specter and every other news outlet with an explanation of what I believe happened.

I think it was Felger who was saying last year that being around the SB it was obvious how much the Patriots were hated. Del Rio complained about our supposed cutting out of radio signals. Mangina, we don't need to talk about.

When do the chargers and denver play? Would'nt real NFL fans want the opportunity to watch both games not just the one in their area........

Specter won't care.

And since the Ravens game is now at 4, the jets can't tank.......

As long as the Ravens are at 4, I can deal with that. Not thrilled with it, but ok, NY will still have something to play for besides pride...oh, wait, do they have that in NY??

Goodell just screwed Kraft bigtime.

Check this out:

Let me tell you about the Jags recently.

After 1st qtr:

Vikings 17 Jags 0
Texans 10 Jags 0

After 2nd qtr

Bears 20 Jags 3
Packers 13 Jags 7

The Jaguars over the last month have fallen behind early and often.

Not good. By the 2nd quarter, the Jets will realize they are completely out of it!!

And I'm also furious because I'm going to be at the Patriots-Bills game and I wanted to see the Patriots potentially celebrating on the field in case of a comfy Jets' lead.

Will they? What happens after the Ravens jump on top of the Jags in the 1st qtr, the way the Bears, Vikings and Texans recently have?

Sure they can, after the 1st qtr of the ravens/Jags game, the Jets bubble will completely deflate.

So it's up to the Jags then.

Me too. It isn't perfect, but it's better than just flexing the Jets. The Jets have to rely on either the Ravens losing or us losing regardless of what time they play. The way both the Patriots and the Ravens have been playing, I don't think there is an "easier" route to get in from the Jets POV.

It would have been idiotic to flex it to 4 and not take at least one of the other games with it. Jets having nothing to play for would defeat the whole purpose.

I'm not too worried that the Ravens will blow out the Jags, leaving the Jets to tank the second half knowing things are hopeless. Once a team starts a game fired up to try to win they keep going to the end.

The Jets are still going to play for a Wild Card spot. Who cares if it is for the division or a Wild Card. They still have something to play for.

One plus side. There will be no scoreboard watching during the Pats game. I know that players and coaches say they don't, but it is one less thing to even have to worry about.

if that team finds out their playoff chances are effectively over at halftime (i.e. Ravens 21-Jags 3) you think that won't take an emotional toll, as the Phins are clawing their way into the playoffs?

This is the second year in a row the playoffs are in question, last year the Colts took a knee (read that how you want) to let the Titans in over the Browns.

Del Rio is a jacka$$ who seems to forget that the headsets are set up and monitored by the league and that the Patriots have no information regarding the frequencies used. The NFL has 32 crews who are responsible for the headsets. Who given the frequencies at random each week so that teams can't do that. More likely, what they are experiencing is outside interference. For example, when I was still living in NH, one of our fork truck drivers ended up talking to a SouthWest airlines flight heading into Manchester. It turned out that the one frequency we were using wasn't properly registered with the FCC. Because the frequency wasn't properly registered, we got hit with a huge fine ($100K) from the FCC and faced potential legal issues from the FAA. We then had to stop using that frequency until we could get another one issued to us. And the FCC and FAA monitored us to ensure we didn't broadcast on that frequency again.

Well, the same is true if we all played at 1, to be fair.
