The stat-sheet shows only a a few tackles and half a sack, but I kept seeing the guy and thought he did a terrific job, (especially once Seymour went out?)

He's not the best DL, but he plays his ass off, he's dependable and he stepped up today.

Yeah Mike was awesome today put Warner's ass on the ice a couple times.

He drilled Warner pretty good into the turf and I was surprised Warner got back up.

Sometimes our "depth" players play better than I expect, and then I recognize how good our talent recognition/development really is.

Noticed how well he was able to rush the passer, not just this week but in the past several. Allows us to run different looks up front and with Green as well we have 5 very good D Linemen

How about Russ Hochstein playing FB and lead blocking.

Nice job hey.

When Ty Warren went down, Wright was miscast as a DE. When Wilfork went down against Seattle, they moved Wright back to his more natural NT position and he started to emerge. Wright is great as a NT in the nickle and dime. He is a great pass rusher. He needs to work on his run support, but he is a great option as a situational pass rusher.

Ty Warren who.;):p

Especially at finding UDFAs like Mr. Wright. :)

During the broadcast, when the game was essentially over (mid third quarter) they showed a "Warner being pressured" reel. Every clip had Wright either sacking him or knocking him down. I don't care who the opponent is: that's a good day. ;)

The Patriots only have 28 sacks this year, but BB thinks that is somewhat irrelevant. He adds the tipped passes to the sacks (ever notice our DLs are tall?!?)and then adds QB hits and pressures to determine a pass rush figure of merit.

Wright has a fair number of pressures and QB hits, so he outplays his conventional stats. But that is where Seymour shines. He has 8.5 sacks but is a league leader in QB hits with 11 or 12, and his first pressure figures are also very high too.
