apparently they hand picked the ravens as per NFLN -Adam schefter. Prolly assuming a 5-11 raven team. thats somewhat insulting if true.

They were a week off, shoulda picked the Giants.

Well if true, and Baltimore knew about it before the game, that would rank up there with Cowher's having the Steeler players take care of Super Bowl preparations prior to the AFCCG in terms of motivating an opponent you are looking past.

Wouldn't any team that they would have picked get that motivation then?

Not so much if it was a long time rival like the Giants or Redskins.

Well..they didnt have to pick one for that matter.

To put it in a Pats' fans perspective, it would be like closing Gilette with (1) whatever team was on the schedule; (2) choosing a rival like the Colts or any of the AFC East teams; or (3) choosing the Bengals or Lions. Jerry Jones chose door number three.

What is interesting is that the Cowboys were 0-2 against the Ravens...now 0-3...

Here's who they had to choose from:

San Francisco
Seattle
Baltimore
Cincinnati
Tampa Bay

How do you not pick San Francisco

No NFL stadium (or any pro stadium) will ever go out the way Foxboro Stadium did in 2001 - 2002. A lot of teams try to prefab events that only blow up in the end.
