Just showed his press conf on sportscenter - "these next 3-4 games could be my last" he dropped towards the end. This might be fun again with jets waiting to see if they have to pay 12 mill again :)

Re: OT:Favre watch begins

It almost sounded like he was tearing up when I heard it. For the love of God, man, just call it quits.

What the hell kind of attitude is that?! Not only against the "one game at a time" mantra, but if you assume you're in the playoffs wouldnt you also assume you will also at least make it to the big show? Seems he is already ceding defeat to Pitt or Pats/Ravens...

lol, i wouldnt exactly cal it the "watch"

more like the "re-run"

This is solid entertainment. Last year it was the Packers, and most Pats fans really have no real axe to grind with them that would allow them to find joy in their discomfort.

But the Jets? A whole different story. Have Mangini booted out the same door Favre is thinking about walking through and you are talking must see TV.

But he should feel free to wait until mid-July, maybe even mid-August, to do so!

It should be fun watching Jets fans dangle in the wind

The cynic in me thinks it's nothing more than a ploy to illicit some type of emotional response from the Jets players for Lord Favrequad.

Totally agree. Last year it was annoying, this year it will just be comical. PLEASE let him pull that same crap again and make them wait all off season. Even if he retires right away, they'll have that hope (fear?) in the back of their minds that he'll come back. It's not like they have a Rodgers in the waiting so they really aren't going to know what to do with themselves. Not like they ever do anyway.

Oh, and BTW, until and unless he retires, the JEST are on the hook for his $13M salary. That should keep them out of the Matt Cassel sweepstakes. :)

Why do you guys want him to retire? It'd just be another season preventing the Jets from actually getting a QB for the future.

the best thing about all this, is that this one-and-done Favre year effectively eliminated the Jets from their chance to take Tebow or Bradford. I think both of those two are going to be good NFL quarterbacks. I would not have wanted to play Tebow twice a year.

Tebow will not be a starting QB in the NFL IMO
