Which Matt, of Cassell or Leinart, will play better Sunday?

Some Cardinals fans have suggested that if the game is a blow out (either way) that Matt Leinart will get some playing time, especially as the Cardinals have clinched the division title regardless of the possibility they finish 8-8. While most Cardinals fans believe that the Cardinals have no chance of beating the Patriots in December, only one that I've seen believes Leinart might actually start. It would be interesting because they both played quarterback on the same college team at the same time.

I say Matt will play better

Matt will take Matt to the mat where he'll end up a mutt.

amazingly ironic. one was the heisman trophy winning golden boy and one was his backup. and the backup has had more success in the nfl

The only logical answer to this relatively silly question is... "Kurt".

Kurt Warner still has MVP aspirations and this team does not want to be known as an 8-8 division leader.

The other Matt will only be coming in if this game is a complete blowout.

I've got a feeling Matt will play better, but don't be surprised if Matt ends up having the better game. It might just be Matt's week, but you shouldn't count Matt out. Matt has some pretty good receivers, but so does Matt. Matt is facing one of the worst pass defenses in the league, but Matt is also facing a pretty bad pass defense.

Long story short, in this scenario, I think Matt will play better, but I think it wouldn't shock a lot of people if Matt plays better.

I don't know. It depends how banged up Matt is protecting Matt's blind side... hell if he becomes a turnstile one more time we may end up with Matt under center rather than Matt.

I just want to mention that you wrote Matt when you clearly meant Matt in the second paragraph. Otherwise, great points. Belichick and Brady have said great things about Matt, while the coach of Arizona clearly doesn't think Matt shouldn't even be a starter. Their coach went as far as saying so at the start of the 2008 season, way before Brady got injured. I hope the Patriots get word of this to use to rally themselves up for the game.

What worries me about this game is that Arizona is paying Matt more than ten times what we're paying Matt, so I think this game will show a lot of evidence of what kind of a player Matt is.

Had Matt not fumbled the ball near the end zone against the Steelers to start the second half, we might have kept our momentum against the Steelers!

Really? What college is that? I had no idea.

Yeah well had Matt not been looking for 15 minutes of fame on the eve of the SB, Matt and Matt might BOTH have rings from last year. Of course Matt was just jumping on that bandwagon, he wasn't even with the team anymore. If it weren't for Matt losing the camera in week 1 it wouldn't even matt-er that Matt said he had other footage.

It was a trick play - using two QBs and taking advantage of the fact that there's no rule against using only one bal on the field at a time. A team can score 12 points on any one play.

Look for it this Sunday. If teams think the Wildcat is tough to defend, wait unitl they get a load of this.
