I'd be so pissed if we missed the playoffs. Not at the team, more of the circumstances. If I told you Brady went down, not even all the other IR people, just Brady and they would be 11-5 I don't think too many people would take me seriously.

It's in our hands to finish out, and no matter what I'd be proud of them. I just can't believe 11-5 really has a chance not to make it in. It really gives me a good feeling going into next year. We're 11-5 without improvements to our D and our MVP back. NFL be damned in 2009.

Please correct me if I am wrong, but does a Blatimore loss not need to be coupled with a Fins loss for us to get the WC spot (assuming we win out of course)?

Besides the Baltimore loss, one of hte FIns or the Jets have to lose or tie. Since they play each other, this is going to happen.

Just curious as to what happens if the Ravens lose in Dallas and finish 10-6 (corrected..) and one of the following happens....the Jets lose in Seattle and win in Miami...thus the Jets, Miami and Baltimore are all 10-8???? The Pats win the division but who goes to the playoff in 6th position?? (Considering the Colts win 1 of their last 2. and are WC pos 5..)

I assume you mean 10-6 not 10-8.

Jets vs Mia

If both the Jets and Mia are 10-6 the winner of the week 17 game would ranked higher. Jets on the head to head tie breaker; Mia on the common game tie breaker.

Ravens vs Mia

Ravens beat Mia so Ravens prevail head to head. Only way Mia would get a wild card from Ravens is Ravens lost both. Thus 10-6 vs 9-7.

Ravens vs Jets

Right now both teams have a conf record of 7-4, so if the Jets loss was Mia and Ravens loss was Cowboys; Ravens would prevail. If Jets loss was Sea and Ravens loss was Jax; Jets would prevail. If jets loss to Sea and Ravens to cowboys OR jets loss to mia and ravens to jax it would drop to strength of victory tie breaker. (that takes about 20 mins to compute; i did it for Ravens vs. Pats, but don't really care enough about Ravens vs Jets to spend the time)

Thanks...yes I am so tired...my mind hit the wrong key...SO it would be BALT vs NYJ strength of schedule...as that is what I think MAY happen..Seattle beats the Jets..Cowboys beat the Ravens...and the Jets win the last game...so they knock Miami out...
and then it would be strengt of...well...interesting!!
