Say this team was as fortunate as the Dolphins and Steelers have been this season in terms of health issues and say this team was primarily injury free as it was last year,What would our record look like right now?

No doubt we would be 14-0.

Re: With a healthy Tom Brady and no important players on IR,what would our record be

Who cares? We're not healthy. Injuries happen.

I think even with Brady and company we would have lost to Miami that first time. Were completely and utterly dominated, we failed in every phase of the game that day.

At the time we did have AD, and Harrison on defense. No one of real importance was injured other than Brady, and I dont think he alone would have been enough to carry our team in that particular game.

12-2 with both losses coming to the Dolphins and Steelers although I'm sure both games would have been much closer than they were.

There are a lot of teams in the league that would be a lot better if nobody had been injured. Sure, we've been injured more than anyone else probably, but you just have to keep going with what you have, and FWIW this will probably end up benefiting the team down the line, with guys like Woods, Guyton, Meriweather, Wilhite, and Cassel getting a ton more playing time than they otherwise would have.

Re: With a healthy Tom Brady and no important players on IR,what would our record be

i voted for the same record, because i am also assuming no other team has any injuries either.

Re: With a healthy Tom Brady and no important players on IR,what would our record be

The question is so hypothetical as to be silly, but I took the bait and voted 12--2 because, from what I could tell, we would have lost the first Miami game no matter who was in the lineup and probably the Steeler's game as well.

I think we still could have lost the San Diego, Miami and Pittsburgh games, even with Brady & Co., so I voted 11-3, and I think we would have finished 13-3. With Brady, et al., I think we would have won the Indy and Jets games.

Yes, you are correct.

Our record would be 30 BAZILLION and 0

Same two I think we'd have lost.

People of reason & objectivity would concur! ;)

14-0 easily and on the way to the SB to get revenge on the NYGiants.

I know I'm right.

Re: With a healthy Tom Brady and no important players on IR,what would our record be

I'd be in first place in my fantasy league.

Re: With a healthy Tom Brady and no important players on IR,what would our record be

0-14. Tom would be trying so hard not to repeat last year he'd develop bad habits.

I know, god forbid we discuss stuff on a message board.

I dont know, do you think they would have called that bogus "in the grasp" call that changed that entire game? (its bogus because of the superbowl) if brady had been in?

Some hypotheticals make sense. "Would Brady complete that pass?" is worth debating, for example. However, if Brady doesn't go down, everything is different from the very beginning, and we have no idea how the team would have been mentally.

For example, Brady scores that touchdown at the half in San Diego. However, the reality is that the odds of that game playing out as it did even to that point with Brady under center rather than Cassel are astronomical. People forget that BB had to have a 'chat' with the team after that game, and point out that Brady wasn't coming back and people needed to get their focus back. That doesn't happen if Brady is still playing.

Like the butterfly wings flapping in China and, eventually, creating a war in America, the Brady injury changed everything, and it made the seasonal comparison impossible. I might personally think that a Brady-led team would still be undefeated, but that's absolutely nothing more than a guess based upon last season.

The string of hypotheticals needed to get to that question is mind boggling. We need to assume that at that exact point in the game, the situation would have been exactly the same, the same play would have been called and the exact same events would have transpired during its execution. There's a rule of logic that says that from a false premise anything can follow, so my answer to your question is yes, no, maybe...and I'm sticking to it!
