Yes, I know it's hard to believe there are worse pass defenses but there are 5 teams whose "QB rating allowed" is worse than ours and Arizona is one of them. We allow a 93.9, they allow a 98.4 - better than only Detroit. Oakland is 14th at 81.0.

ESPN - NFL Football Statistics and League Leaders - National Football League

BTW, we were ranked 11th in this category last year :(

Actually 11th last year was dissapointing - We should have been lower than that

When you are beating teams most of that season by 17 or more points each game, you should be expecting the pass and not the run since the pass is what gives you the chance to make a comeback, so if the focus was on the pass the QBs should not have had high rating performances too many times in 2007.

Or you can make the argument that you give up lots of soft underneath passes with big leads. Regardless, it's not a great comparison to this year and wasn't meant as a significant point to this. The point is that Arizona's pass defense blows - so the numbers say, anyway.

The Card's are worse in the league for allowing passing TD. We are second worst.

Expect a lot of passing td's this week.

BB's going to do everything he can to keep the Arizona offense off the field - run, run, run and run some more.

Considering that we're both in the top 5 on offense in that category, I wonder what the over/under is for this game....100?:p

I know everyone's afraid of Boldin/Fitz, but this is a favorable matchup for us. Their pass D is worse than ours, and unlike our defense they will have to respect the run. Plus another west coast team playing at 1 pm... if we deserve a playoff shot we won't lose this game.

All we have to do is execute on offense and we will score. No TO's and play a good solid D.

No worries-we have to win the next two games.

Exactly! I would also factor in that Warner has proven much more likely to cough up a costly turnover than Casell is. Also, this is an Arizona team that clinched its playoff spot a few weeks ago, is out of the running for a 1st round bye and is playing on the east coast in potentially wintery conditions. I think this game is ripe for a Patriots statement.
