Pats punt on China office after being the only club with a presence there. The guy who ran the office is no longer an employee. Guess the Cheerleaders didn't impress the men of China on their visit.

NFL shifts focus as Pats close China office

It's bad enough travelling to London but travel to China and back is exhausting. We need fast sub-orbital transports.

Poor PatJew.

Good. It's about time a Chinerese person lost a job instead of an american.

Never wanted them to have to add that travel to their schedule at any time of the year.

this is like an Apple store getting closed in the middle of Amish country

Nicholas Krippendorf doesn't sound Chinese to me. :D

That's a pretty uninformed statement.

Slowdown In China Gets Worse, Increasing Global Woes - WSJ.com

Indeed. China's economy is taking a major hit. The timing isn't right for promoting the Pats in China right now.

Another thing the Pats (and the NFL) need is a bonafide chinese star like Yao Ming. This would keep interest in the league over there no matter what the economic conditions were. MLB did the same in Japan with Ichiro; I was in Japan years ago and one couldn't escape the guy's face on posters everywhere. Every Mariners game was broadcast in Japan by a japanese production crew so the announcing and graphics were all in japanese. If the Pats had a guy like that on their team, especially one who excelled like Yao or Ichiro, and the chinese would be watching Pats games every Sunday.

Regards,
Chris

Too bad Eugene Chung was Corean.

Hey, the mods changed my Bostonian accent title spelling from 'Chiner'
