Maybe he will play with a passion so strong, that he cannot fail.

That is a sad story.

My prayers are with Matt and the Cassel family.

That's terrible.

At least he got to see his son play some great football before he passed on.

Sorry Matt, my thoughts are with you and your family.

Dear Heavenly Father, please comfort Matt, Jack, Justin, Amanda, and those friends and family affected by Greg's passing, with the sure knowledge of Your promise given through the sacrifice of Your Son. Gather Greg into Your arms, help his children, friends, and other family to know You better, to seek Your Face for answers and to be strengthened and renewed by Your Word. We ask all in the name of our Savior and Redeemer, ************. Amen.

I remember what Matt's dad said when he was thrust into the starting QB slot this year - - something about Matt being cool and poised even in the face of California earthquakes. It was obvious that Greg Cassel had much pride in the PERSON his son had become. My hope for Matt is that he takes comfort and joy forever in that knowledge.

Sad sad sad....and nothing about the whys of it all...a long illness sudden health issue...VERY sad Amen to what Box said...condolences...to Matt and his family...

Terrible news........ my condolences to the Cassel family.

As someone said, the only silver lining is that he lived long enough to see his son flurish and mature as a profesional QB leading the best team in football. Imagine the pride that must have given him these last few months.

Peace

I too send out my thoughts and prayers to Matt and his family. It is too bad that Matt would have have such a horrible personal tragedy during the year that he is having so much professional success.

My thoughts and prayers are with Matt and his family. That's terrible news.
