Don't underestimate us Pats.

Welcome to the BLACK HOLE. Welcome back Randy... welcome back LJ.
How will Matt Cassel and those rookies fare in the most hostile stadium on the planet?

The Pats are playing the second game of a west coast trip, the last one in the same circumstances didn't go too well (SD 30 NE 10, no?)

We have nothing to lose, all the pressure is on you - you are playing what is basically the second of 4 elimination games to close out your regular season.

Your D is banged up, we could take advantage of it. We have a really good running game. Can you stop us? We'll see.

It's PAYBACK time for the tuck rule.... we can't wait to turn the tables on you and end your playoff season.... REVENGE baby...

We know what this game means to you. We are READY for you guys. I can't wait!

And no matter what happens the rest of the season...your team has nothing to be ashamed about all things considered. #12 will be back next year, and if he's healthy, I see a Super Bowl run for you guys next year. But it's not happening this year. JMO.

"dont underestimate us"?? who you think we are? The rats??

i dont think the pats underestimate anybody. the revenge factor is meaningless to the players and wont help them win. not saying they cant win but revenge doesnt factor in except for raiders fans.

You got your revenge on the Tuck Rule game, don't you remember you beat us in 2002 on the way to the Super Bowl, you know, that train wreck of a game you played vs Tampa................come on RS, get with it.

Meh... I don't know. This one feels different to me.

Yes I do remember that game. We beat you by 7, and I thought the scoreboard kind of flattered you guys. Tom Brady did not have a good game. I don't think the Patriots were one of the best teams in the NFL that year, I think most die hard Pats fans would admit that, so it was what it was, the superior team won that game.

There's a reason why this one is different. We're lousy, I can admit that, and the Pats are fighting for their playoff lives. You guys know that a loss is probably fatal to your playoff hopes. That's what will make a Raider win all that sweeter. This to me (short of you guys losing the game by that very same tuck rule) would be payback, more than 2002 was. Besides... there's no love lost between these two franchises and it's about time we got the rivalry going again! :)

Some are talking like it's a foregone conclusion that you have an "easy" schedule and will run the table. We'll see how "easy" it is on Sunday.... don't underestimate us.

You're right... but we fans sure look at it that way. Tell me you wouldn't feel that way if somehow the Patriots play the Colts this year in the AFC CG.

Is anybody left on the Raiders from the "tuck game"?

who ever is saying that is a complete moron. its a miracle the pats are 8 and 5 considering all the huge impact names they have lost to injuries. its by far the worst injury year i have ever seen. unprecedented injuries. there are so many i cant name them all. brady ty warren wilfork harrison A thomas . the list goes on and on.

I've seen 3 of your games this year, you stunk the joint out in all 3, so i'm sure you are due a good one.

They almost beat the Dolphins. Had them in the 4th quarter as a matter of fact.

Here are some images for you that can't be erased by a highly unlikely raiders win this weekend.

Even if the Patriots run the table, they probably won't make the playoffs as if they end up tied for the division with either the Jets or the Doofins, they lose the tiebreaker. They have essentially no shot at the wild card with the Ravens/Steelers/Dolts all ahead of them as well.

That effin Jets loss was the backbreaker this season, that is the one loss that will come back to bite them in the *****.................

they actually put on shoulder pads lol. i think they like dressing up more than they like football.

LOL, are Faider fans still looking for "revenge" from the playoff game 7 years ago? The call was right, btw

The Raiders are sh!t.

Yep, tons of injuries and now the distinct possibility of our back-up QB's back-up QB throwing the ball on Sunday.

Should be a good game. Can't wait to see how it unfolds.

[/fair commentary]

The Raiders are gonna feel really bad when LJ and Moss both put 100 yards on 'em. Upside, maybe it'll give big Al a stroke and you guys can turn things around in the Flush-Dome.

Funny, in five of your six home games the most hostile stadium seemed to help the visiting team.:p

I think Miami might be the team to beat in your division with you guys right behind them and the Jets a distant third. The Jets have the worst pass defense in the league, and I actually think there's a decent chance they go 1-2 to finish the season and maybe even 0-3. You'll see.

I think the Ravens will beat the Steelers and lock in the 6 seed, so you're right, you'll need some help to get in. But ya gotta win out or all of that is moot.... good luck

Pats fans still talk about Ben Drieth 30 years later, so we have 23 more years to catch up. :)

I love how Pats fans are quick to dismiss football fans who still feel it was a fumble by "it was the right call", without even trying to look at it objectively. Most football fans would tell you it was a fumble, not because they're anti-Patriots, but because they know a fumble when they see it.

I know what the tuck rule is - it's designed to eliminate the need for the ref to judge whether the QB is throwing the ball or in the process of tucking the ball into his body. I'm not against the tuck rule. It makes sense.

But that did not apply to Brady. He had stopped his pump-fake, might have had two hands on the ball, it was not secured, the QB was definitely not trying to tuck the football back into his body as the rule says, and clearly had no intention to pass. It was a bad interpretation of the rule, and it wasn't in the spirit of the rule to call that an incomplete pass. What would happen if the QB finishes the throwing motion and just holds the ball there, and never tucks the ball back into his body? Is he immune from fumbling? According to the interpretation of the tuck rule that night, yes he is. Would that make sense to you? It doesn't to me.

Brady himself is on record as saying he thought it was a fumble.

It is what it is. I still think the Raiders were a better team. But the Pats got lucky, and they certainly made the most of that gift, as good teams do.
