Of course, I hope we can, but I'm very scared about playing Arizona. They will likely beat us. We haven't beaten a good team all season (other than the Jets.) Unless Seau and Colvin suddenly discover the fountain of youth, I think injuries have taken their toll; and we'll look ahead to next year. With a fistful of draft picks, and a healthy cap situation, we should be able to retool nicely. I also believe we'll get something for trading Cassell.

Usually prozac kicks in after a couple weeks .. you'll get better buckaroo..

some pretty insightful stuff there.

Holiday blues gotcha down, pookie? :(

Keep the faith man. We also beat Denver who's as good as AZ at least record wise. Also keep in mind:

1. AZ will have nothing to play for, while we have everything to play for.
2. They're a west coast team playing on the east coast @ 1 pm - situation in which west coast teams have lost over 90% of the time this year.
3. We may have Warren back for that game after he was sorely missed in the Jets and Steelers losses.

I don't know about the defense. sure we'll get some solid players but how many impact players will we get?

I've seen some poeple say we need a SS, but I think Sanders is solid, though not game changing.

We absolutely need a corner, I don't think we can count on Wheatley and Wilhite.

We absolutely need a passrusher(OLB). I personally would love to see AD move inside and get an imact OLB.

We need to get depth with passrushers.

If these needs are not addressed in the offseason I will not feel confident.

And to a lesser extent we need some OL.

lets beat oak first. i would want the AZ game to mean something after the seattle scare.

So do I.

So lets just relax and work on Oak first.

We'll see a gameplan similar to the one we used against Denver, who everyone thought would also blow up our secondary. Arizona has a ridiculous passing attack, but they are the most one-dimensional offense in the league. If the weather's bad, they could be screwed. Their defense is also average. The Pats will want this game more, and so I'm hopeful for an upset. It won't come easy, but they'll be ready.

Im comforted by the notion that Arizona is a so-so team playing in an incredibly week division. They are 5-0 in their division. And they are only 8-5 (same record as NEP, Jest, Miami), so they were 3-5 outside their silly division.

Keep the faith!! (I also worry a lot about playoffs!)

Yeah, what's with all those negative vibes Moriarty?

If the Jets lose to the Bills

OR

the Phins lose to KC...

The Patriots can lose to Arizona and still win the division.

Are you comforted now?

What is the Patriot's mantra for success?
They focus only on the next game.
We are only thinking about Raiders, bro.
I am excitedly looking forward for that game. It will be fun.

That also assumes Arizona is motivated to risk injury to Warner and its receivers in a cold weather climate. If Carolina wins next week, the best it can hope for is realistically a 3 seed and at worst a 4 seed, meaning no home field by winning to offset risk of injury. You may see the Cardinals without the offensive stars.

11-5 has made the playoffs everytime with one exception. The Dolphins barely beat St. Louis, the Jets are reeling after two straight losses.

11-5 will win this division it's up to the Patriots to be the team that ends up with that record.

Be careful of the Cardinals. Their strength is our weakness. If you think our secondary had a problem so far this season, wait until you get a look at Fitzgerald and Boldin. IMO the best WR tandem in the league....and its not close.

This is a game I was worried about all season. I am a Cardinal season ticket holder and see what these guys can do. The Cardinal defense, although a bit up and down, is very fast. The best thing for the Pats about this game is the Cards have absolutely stunk it up on the East coast. Let's hope it happens one more time.

Yeah, there are 2 things that give me more hope about AZ than I would normally have. #1 they're terrible coming from the West Coast to play and #2 they've locked up their divsion so hopefully they'll be resting guys.
