The Jets loose next week and maybe again in Seattle.

The Patriots and Dolphins win the next 2 weeks.

Does Mangini throw the game against the Dolphins so the Patriots don't get in? Is that possible? :D

I think he prefers employment over beating the Pats down. He needs to do just well enough to push his coordinators into traffic to keep his job, imo.

Re: What if....

i thought this thread was going to be about #12's injury...

I'm pretty sure Mangini would be murdered by some enraged Pats fan if he did something like that.

(possibly me)

Problem is, if the Jets blow an 8-3 record and don't make the playoffs with the money they've spent, I don't think winning the last game to go 9-7 is going to save Mangini's job. I think he'd be too prideful to lose on purpose, but employment won't be his motivation.

I'd enquire as to the whereabouts and possible release from prison of Gunter Parche if that were the case.

seriously if this scenario happens....mangini has no choice but to play his best to beat the fins. because you alone wont be thinking of this conspiracy theory. the media will be all over it during the week

Boy that would suck - especially since I'm betting all my posessions on the Patriots to win out the remainder of the regular and post season to win their 4th Super Bowl ring.

Not to be a pessimist, but... have you got any cool stuff? ;)

Are we dead-last in the tiebreakers somehow? If we're tied with either the Jets or the Dolphins at the end, they get in and we don't? How did that happen?

It's been explained in multiple threads including one that is still on page one and pretty high up in this forum. Take a look.

And there is as much chance of Mangini throwing a game against the Dolphins as there is that he'll change his diet from grease and chocolate to tofu.

Yah the guy will go 0-4, lose his HC job and wreck his entire career just so the Pats don't go to the playoffs. Riiiiight!
