I am sure you all notcied Wilhite was getting PT in place of O'Neal and while the results were not amazing they certainly seemed like a upgrade to O'Neal. And at the very least another rookie gets some more experience.

What did everyone think of Wilhites play?

Other than the rookie mistake of letting up on Wallace's sideline scamper, I'd say he did reasonably well. There are likely to be ups and downs, but at least I can attribute them to him being a rookie, rather than O'Neil just being, well, a lousy player.

To put it succintly:

Wilhite > 10 men on the field > O'Neil

I'd say I'd give him a mixed review. He got burnt a few times, but nothing major. Him letting up on the Wallace run was inexcusable and will get him an earfull today when they review the game film. Otherwise he wasn't that bad.

We won't know how well he really is until at least the Cards game. The Raiders may be starting Walter next week.

I think right now they're both nickel backs at best. Like somebody mentioned, Wilhite at least has the chance to learn and improve.

Let's put it this way: I would do a better job out there than O'Neal. LOL, well maybe not. But still Wilhite WAS a little bit better, but he didn't blow me away either.

I thought he did okay, I think hes going to get better with more playing time and be an upgrade over Deltha.

The Patriots got away with using Wilhite because they weren't facing a full-strength passing attack. They'll probably get away with using him against Oakland, too.

Arizona, on the other hand..... well, let's just say that I think the team should have tried a little harder to get Hall.

I think the Arizona game will be real interesting. Yes this team has had its share of problems vs. the pass but it will be interesting to see how they can do when the primary key to the game will be stopping their pass. I fully expect BB, Peas, and Capers to come up with something to keep them competative vs one of the leagues best passing attacks.

Good luck to our Secondary in that game lets based on 2008 Stats receiving leaders 3 Larry Fitzgerald - 7 Anquan Boldin and 16 Steve Breaston.:scared: Ok maybe Hobb's can cover Steve Breaston, but who covers the other two?:scared:

Kurt Warner is going to win a lot of fantasy championships in Week 16 ...

I can't believe Wilhite isn't getting roasted for letting up on that Wallace scamper, that was more than a rookie mistake, that was like any of us falling asleep on the job. Awful, just plain awful. I am sure the Patriot veterans are going to be in his ear about that all week.

I think most people realize that it was a stupid, rookie, mistake, and don't expect to see it happen again.

Good point but it's tough on these kids sometimes when every time a player gets hit on the sidelines the yellow hankies go flying, especially a QB. He thought Wallace was heading out of bounds so he let up. Although I do agree that it a very bad play.

I think if you are going to be flagged on those plays for hitting a guy who is giving himself up than you should not be allowed fake going out and come back in.

I really think it is unfair and Wallace definitely made it look like he was going out if Whilhite goes to hit him he will be flagged. I think a late hit personal foul should have to be on something that was a blatant intentional late hit and not just someone playing a 1/2 second after the whistle. It is a contact sport and if there is nothing wrong with the hit had it happened a split second earlier than there should be nothing if it happens a split second late. If all play has truly stopped than a late hite should be applies (you know if the contact was a reaction to something and not just a continuation of the play. I know this is really splitting hairs but it annoys me when the flags come out for something that is insignificant like hitting a split second late. If it was delibrately late than fine but if the intention was to make contact with in the field of play and with in the play than a few inches or a 1/2 a second should not change it. I know there is a really thin line here and I guess nothing can be done but it is frustrating.

Its possible it could be cold, snowy, rainy sleet, windy all of the above for that game. Arizona doesnt play well on the east coast and they may be resting players by that game.

I could see BB emplying nickel and dime coverage all day. Double cover those guys most of the game. concede the run and try to stop it with limited players up front. make them earn every yard and go on long drives. eventually warner holds onto the ball too long and makes a bad decision.

our put warner or leinhart who might end up playing on their butts. leinhart vs cassel..thats some storyline.
