Wait, we are playing Indy away for the third freaking season in a row? What the F?! For God's sake, what is up with that?

As I've pointed out before, it was the same idiotic schedule that had them playing in Foxboro for three consecutive years ('04, '05, '06).

Basically, they decided that from 2002 to 2009, when two divisions didn't play each other, they'd have the same matchup in both intervening years. In other words, for the AFC East and AFC South:

2002 East 1 @ South 1
2003 divisions play
2004 South 1 @ East 1
2005 South 1 @ East 1
2006 divisions play
2007 East 1 @ South 1
2008 East 1 @ South 1
2009 divisions play

has anyone seen pitt's schedule this yr ? its been brutal. Credit to them inspite of injuries they are still 9-3.
Good teams win tough games like we won last yr. So if we can build a decent group , tough schedule should be winnable.

No-one picked up on that yet! ;)

Surely; it would be Raiders!!! Unless Chiefs start to keep leads in games!!

This schedule will make the '09 Superbowl Run even sweeter... particularly as we run the table 16-0.

Everyone said their schedule this year was supposed to be a cake walk because of teams like Miami, Buff, etc. Even the Jets (pre favre) were suppose to be average. You just can't predict how teams will change between now, and next Sept.

The schedule for next year means nothing right now. I guarantee you that some of the teams we think are going to be brutal will not and some that are supposed to be cakewalks won't either. The Pats were supposed to breeze through the AFC East this year and as it stands right now, 2 teams might be 11-5 and one might be 10-6. The Browns, Packers, Chargers, and Jags were playoff contenders coming into the season while Atlanta and Miami weren't supposed to do anything.

Next year's schedule could end up being easier than this year's when everything is said and done.

Hopefully next year we are healthier then this year.

Does this mean the Pats front office has the right to complain about the schedule making like Bill Polian did after week 1 of the 2004 season when he basically said it was unfair for the NFL to make the Colts play at New England week 1 and that the Colts just lost out on the top spot in the AFC playoff race because they lost. After week 1!

anyone remember that one?

The NFL knows that week 1 will always get great ratings which is why since then the PAts-Colts has always been prime time in sweeps month (Nov).....

Steeler schedule going into the year had the most difficult based on last season's W-L. Colts were 1 game behind that heading in. Colts have #5 rated schedule so far to date (based on Sagarin), while the Steelers check in at #14. I think the MAIN difference is that the tougher Pitt games have all been at Home (Giants/Colts/Chargers/Boys). This ranking also reflects facing the Ravens at Home early in the year (they play AT ravens next week). Meanwhile, Colts have had SD/Pitt/Titans/GB/Minn on the road. By the end of the season, I think Pitt will end up with a similar SOS to the Colts.

Saw that immediately - wrong division. I'm sure it was just a TYPO, right? wink, wink, nudge, nudege. :)

Good things:

1-TB will be back.
2-We still have the same O with 3 good RBs.

Questionable:

1- Will we do something about our secondary in this year?
2-Will Oline protect TB all the way?
3-How about our overhaul D?

I have to just chuckle a bit that the first year in a while the Patriots and Colts aren't both going to win their division is the year before we're slated to play the AFC South anyways. Next year, they'll probably both win their divisions again and be playing in 2010. We can't escape playing those guys every damn year it seems.

It's like the Colts never left the AFC East.

One good thing about the schedule is that if we win the division then the farthest trips we have next year will be @ Denver and @ Houston. Pretty good travel wise (for the team).

Thanks. That seems silly, but I was ignorant obviously. :confused2::confused3:

No..... I made a mistake..... That is what I get for posting while at work.
I can't correct it.... It won't let me edit my post.

It should have said Oakland Raiders instead of Houston.
