the Miami Dolphins winning the division after going 1-15 last season???

As it stands currently they would appear to be in the driver's seat just barely! Their next 2 games are SF at home & on the road at KC.

You think thats amazing, I just heard a rumor that Tom Brady's birth certificate isnt valid!!!

That was probably the thought when the Jerks played SF yesterday. Didn't turn out that way as the Niners have been playing some decent ball of late.

And I try not to imagine a scenario like that.

Yeah but this will be in Miami & I think Porter & Co. are a little bit better than the Jets swiss cheese D right now.

So what is the record, isnt it the Colts going from 3-13 to 13-3 in 1999?

In 1997, the Jets went from 1-15 to 9-7 in Parcells first year.

Of course, us old timers remember the Patriots going from 3-11 to 11-3 in 1976.

Better them than the Jets.

We need the Jets to implode, before Mangini actually learns how to be a consistently good coach.

SF will also beat the Fishies and they will then beat the Jets with a vengeance.

That would be the perfect scenario :rocker:

That would be fine. After the Deadskins rolled over for the Cravens last night and the Cowboys pulled defeat from the jaws of victory against the Steelers, I would like to see some cooperation from the NFC and non-playoff contenders in making this race less of a race.

To those non-playoff teams, if you can't be a player, be a player hater. The next best thing to success is ruining possible success for another team.

Maybe I'm confused about the rules and tiebreakers but right now, as it is, how are the Dolphins further in the drivers seat for the Wild Card than we are? Shouldn't we be tied for it? And what happens if the Ravens lose out and us and the Fishies win out for the rest of the season? Will there be a one game tiebreaker to decide who goes? Heh, I haven't had to worry about tiebreakers for a while I guess.

It's all answered in the Road to the playoffs thread.

Miami is 6-4 in the conference (2nd tie breaker for a wild card slot), the Pats are 5-5. Division title is definitely the best path for the Pats. The Cravens are 7-3, so at worst 7-5. To lose out means the Ravens end at 9-7 and would be out anyway.
