According to the BCN postgame show, Bruschi is in the air right now heading back to Boston. Not shocking, but looks like this is a long-term injury.

Re: Bruschi headin home

It's almost comical with all these injuries. Best of luck Teddy!

Re: Bruschi headin home

Well this SUCKS. I hope for better news concerning Wilfork. :(

Re: Bruschi headin home

bad news.
good luck teddy, i hope it's nothing too serious.

Re: Bruschi headin home

Oh nooo:( I hope it's nothing too serious but that doesn't bode well. Poor Tedy. They're dropping like flies.

Re: Bruschi headin home

Wow.... all we need now is for Mayo and Seymour to get injured and gone will be our entire front 7.

Au contraire, with Warren getting closer and Joker saying Vince is expected back next week, we should be alright with the DL and Mayo/Guyton/Seau at ILB. OLB is a little weak of course.

Re: Bruschi headin home

I had turned BCN on when I went out, right as it happened. When I heard Tedy was down, my heart almost stopped. First thing that came to mind was the patch and the stroke from years ago. At least it's something that's not life threatening (still s---s considering all of the other injuries this season).

Re: Bruschi headin home

Hopefully, it is a only a 2-3 week thing.

I hope everyone realizes you can access WBCN's post game show, which is on right now by navigating to this address...

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

So who's next?

Frankly, this is probably the least impactful (on the field) loss on the team. Seau is an upgrade over Bru.

He was able to walk under his own power into the locker room so he could come back in a few weeks. Unluckly, we only have a few weeks left.

This might have been an appropriate reaction circa 2001-2004, but now it's more like, eh...

especially with Junior back in the fold.

I agree completely. Bruschi hasn't been an impact player/playmaker for 2-3 years. He has lost more than a step - he can't cover on passing downs, he gets pushed around on running plays and he's an ineffective blitzer. I'm actually looking forward to seeing what Guyton can do with even more playing time.

Bruschi has been one of the better blitzers on this team. Not sure what you are watching there. But, yes, he's not been the impact player he was when he was playing the Weak ILB position. But, he's been playing the strong side ILB position (Ted Johnson's old position) since he returned from his stroke.

Guyton didn't look too good out there today. In fact, he was replaced by Colvin at one point.

Seau and Colvin both looked good considering the fact that they had been sitting at home up until this past week.

So could Brady. :(

Love Bru but i am not going to miss him...you can only go on intangibles for so long...Bru is gassed!

Man, I would think you guys wouldn't pile onto one of the greatest Patriots ever like this, on a day he was injured no less.

well Guyton better not play OLB because he can't set the edge
