Nice to see a title like this instead of the inverse!

Well, Cassel leads a drive, converts 3rd downs. Defense actually blitzes:eek: and comes away with the takeaway!

It's not perfect, but they won. They ground it out and won on the heart of the players. In fact dare I say they overcame being out-schemed? This team makes the tournament, they can do something interesting.

Man, that felt good.

I expected them to blow it as usual. Very well done.

Exactly. I was assuming there would be a field goal, I was just hoping to keep them out of the end zone. Then I thought of how sad it is to be playing for overtime when your team is up by 3 points.

It hurts to say it but we do get out-schemed on offense and defense, that is why this game was so close. We pulled through due to great individual play by Welker, Faulk, and Meriweather. We won in spite of McDouche and pees.

I wouldn't have considered this great, happy or gutsy going in but given all the additional players we had to make it through without - yeah, gutsy for sure.

amazing grit, but the big boys are waiting.

Wilfork, Bruschi, and Sanders knocked out of the game... Vrabel had his bell rung, Welker got up gingerly more than once, Cassel had to shake off some big hits and a shoe theft - not to mention some more drops, the Pats wind up playing Seau and Colvin like they've never been away...

NE Football, life is interesting, but good. :D

At this point in the season, I don't care how they get it done. The only stat I'm looking at filling up is the left side of the W-L record.

Welker and Faulk are a couple of champions. Pees finally calls a blitz. Note to Pees--they are better blitzing than covering. Blitz more.

Team came up big on 3rd downs all night. Hopefully a thing that will happen more frequently. Btw, I was really impressed with Seattle's 12th man. For a 2-11 team, thats a loud place.

Rosie and Seau...just wow. Hard to believe they JUST came back to a field then ended up playing the whole 2nd half. Heart and a BIG BLITZ took this one home:rocker: What a team...

Has a team ever been this owned by injuries? Holy ****! And we're still in the playoff picture. Belichick and company, my hat is off to them.

Just think . . . next year should be like having a regular draft and an expansion draft all at once. :)

Like get embarrassed in the opening round? They had to pull a victory out of their asses against one of the worst teams in the league today. I hate to be Debbie Downer, but they beat the Seahawks today, not the Giants.

Patriots are a whole different team in the playoffs, IMO. Oh ya, they'll be BIG underdogs, which is always good for the Pats. This speaking if they make the playoffs.

I like the title of the thread.

Lots of starters out. Cassel played well under pressure, although he stepped into pressure a couple times.

Welker, well what can you say. His play talked all game.

It is nice to see this team able to win those types of games.

To see us at this point, and to have us Miami and the Jets all tied, it is great to be able to cheer for our team still in it...esp. with key injury after key injuy, speaks a lot to the content and grit of these players. Yes they are back-ups and a bit older but they grit it out and you have to hand it to them.

Onward and upward to next week....:)

The Seattle stadium is built to hold noise. Brilliant design.

WOW...just wow is all I can say after being revived by EMT's.

This was as gutsy a performance, ALL THINGS CONSIDERED, as your ever going to see.

No matter what happens the rest of the way, this team has a lot of heart.

No ****. They are going to get beat if they drop 7 or 8, may as well blitz so at least you can maybe pressure them before you get beat. :)

Are your $%&* serious? I am sick and tired of ungrateful and frankly ingorant fans like you. Spoken like someone that start following the team in 2000 and probably never played a sport in his life.

What the Patriots are doing is quite remarkable. Name me another team that would be hanging around and still a dangerous playoff contender under a similar injury situation. Are you paying attention to the NFL this year or have any clue about the sport? Take off the pink Patriots cap and realize that we aren't entitled to championships. This is gutsy group of players rallying around a great coach and making the most out of a VERY difficult situation. You should put things in perspective and be appreciative . Go root for the Lions or go to the mall and tell all the kids there is no such thing as Santa Claus.
