He beat his man often and applied pressure, and was also stiff against the run.

We actually needed a performance like that in the middle of the line.

Thank you LeKevin, we couldn't have won it today without you.

it seemed like he was held 4 or 5 times because he was breaking through..

Umm . . . it's "LeKevin Smith." You better fix it before Keegs sees that. ;) :D

Re: LeKelvin Smith had a really good game

Seriouisly, after the 2 easy TDs to lead the game, they really blew the middle up. The best penetration I've seen all season.

Re: LeKelvin Smith had a really good game

LeKevin Smith, bro.

Keegs will set you straight. :)

Good performance by him today.

We finally got pressure on the QB this game, and Smith had a huge part in that.

I still don't like Mike Wright in there, he's useless.

One obvious hold was on Branch's second TD. Of course there's holding on most plays, but the non-calls are tough to digest on the game changing plays.

Seemed like Seymour was being held a lot too. And so was Wright who also had a good game.

In general, I was extremely pleased with the way our DLs played.

Wright had a good game. He put some pressure up the middle as well.

Wright is much better at NT than DE. He played a solid game when Wilfork went down, as did LeKevin.

I'm surprised we haven't had a visit yet from ' the president of the LeKevin Smith fan club'. I gotta say I was glad to see LeKevin play well, always nice to see a Husker doing well especially on the pats!

LeKevin looked awesome today.

And he was held blatantly twice and it wasn't called.

he's only going to get better.

I enjoyed seeing LeKevin in there playing well today, he seemed to get some good push against Seattle's OL. I nearly lost it when, on the 2nd TD to Branch, the RG had a choke hold on Smith and it was a no call. Hate to say it but it really reminded me of The helmet catch.

Yeah, no kidding! They were blatant too!

If these high-level performances by back-up's continue, might we see any shifting in the DL for 2009?

I know it was only the Seahawks, but I thought they were playing well and once the game settled down, the D looked pretty good, even with some major names missing temporarily.

i agree, he seems way better at pushing the pocket than holding the edge... which was a prob w/seneca running outside. & yeah, ditto the LeKevin thoughts. he brought the heat, holds notwithstanding... which probably helped open a lane for that last safety blitz

the jacka$$ed head ref was laughing all day too, every time his idiot crew made another screwy homer call...that Branch foot inbounds/out of bounds call was ridiculous and when the game shots come out, as they always do, you'll see his heel was clearly out of bounds...that game stunk all afternoon of favoritism.

You're kidding, right? We got a favorable call on PI in the end zone on Moss, and I watched one Kevin Faulk screen pass where Matt Light ran 20 yards to block a Seahawk in the back.

That was just a poorly officiated game, no favoritism. I imagine the Seahawk boards are going nuts, they are big into ref conspiracy theories now.

Whisper it quietly but that was some of the best play i've seen from a D Lineman all year

Not sure whats happened to Warren, Green and Wilfork this year but they've hardly been stellar have they. Seymour is better this year

well, yeah...half kidding anyway...I can see why they didn't overturn that sideline call with Branch's heel...not sufficient to overturn I'd guess...but I sure want to see today's photos to see how close it was...and yeah, that crew screwed up all over the field.I was in homer mode yesterday.
