In a surprise, the Seahawks have listed Hasselbeck as doubtful for Sunday. Seneca Wallace is the likely starter.

It's on Rotoworld.

Definately makes it a bit easier on our sorry pass rushing unit

No it doesn't. At this point, I think even Seneca Wallace could pick us apart. Shades of Kyle Boller and the great A.J. Feeley from last season. Hopefully, Junior and Rosie can step back into their roles quickly and this defense, especially the third down defense, can improve.

Agreed. Hasselbeck goes down really easily and doesn't seem to have good pocket awareness. Dallas sacked him 7 times on Thanksgiving.

The Pats may end up seeing Oakland's backup QB in week 15 as well if Russell can't play. Not that Russell scares me or anything. Hopefully the secondary has a few big games in them coming up.

Not saying that Seneca totally sucks but if he was a better candidate for the starting job he would have been #1 - Not the backup

When he is fully healthy,Hasselbeck is a smarter and better QB than Wallace

Maybe our D Backs will look better...

You missed the point of my post but I do agree with you if that's of any consolation.

Thank goodness. Wallace is useless... it'll be like facing Garrard again, who we've handled easily in the playoffs the last two years.

I agree. This guy can run the ball too.

one of the games the hawks won was with him at QB and he had a pretty decent game against miami i think.

Yeah, the Seahawks. They'd be 2-10 in the WAC Conference.

Oh, wait. They are.
And, how many points were the Pats favored by before game 3 at home vs. Miami? Any given Sunday...Also, that is the noisiest freaking stadium in the NFL, and Matty has never played there, AFAIK.

The Jaguars weren't in the playoffs in 2006.

If I was the Seahawks' managment, I wouldn't allow Hasselbeck to play unless he was 100%. The Seahawk's season is shot and he is playing like crap. Why not save him for next year rather than risk even more injuries.

BTW, Seneca Wallace sucks. I think the best game of his career was against the 49ers where he passed for 222 yards and 2 TDs and their defense is even worse than the Pats.

Have you watched a Seahawks' home game recently? They aren't that loud anymore. With the Seahawks in the toilet, a lot of fans stay home and the ones that are there sit on their hands. The Seahawks haven't had nearly as much of a homefield advantage as they have had in the past.

Is this a joke? First of all we didn't even play him in the '06 playoffs and in '07 he did very good against us with crap WR's, would have done better if one of their crap WR's didn't drop a TD in the 2nd half.

Anyways, this is fantastic news for our defense. I hate seeing Hasselback hurt as he's one of the more underrated QB's in the league, but I like our chances against Seneca. Just hope we don't take them lightly now.

Giving 5 stars to an injury thread is low.

Bad karma. You're supposed to think like Belichick and that the next opponent is the '85 Bears/'89 49ers rolled into one. The weather will be bad, well, showers, anyway, and this game is the Seahawks' superbowl. If it stays close, the Seahawks fans, albeit more laid back than Philly or New York fans, will relish screaming at the multi-super bowl champs.

That was week 3, so no one knew the Dolphins were a pretty solid team. This is week 14 and it's very clear the Seahawks flat out suck.

Of course, any given Sunday is right and maybe the Patriots will lose this game (it would be a horrendous loss if they did though, since this is a must win game and the Seahawks suck), but that's probably not the best example considering Miami has turned out to be a pretty good, 7-5 football team.
