Well that's good. It's not what he deserves but it's something. This is the one redeeming thing about when criminals are found "not guilty" - they usually give us another bite of the apple at some point. Thankfully this one didn't result in a death the second time.The absolute earliest he could be out of jail is 7.5 years, while the latest would be 27 years. I would guess 9-10 years.

He was sentenced to 9 years I believe.
What part of "15 years" in the judge's sentence is confusing you?
There were several other sentences, some that would be added on assuming a parole. Note the operative word assume.
