For all the complaining about our defense over the past few weeks, I bet some will be surprised to see it is still ranked 12th in the league in terms of scoring (even with the offense and special teams causing 20 of the 33 points in the Steelers game on Sunday).
Meanwhile, the inclination to ship Brady out of town and hand the franchise over to Cassel continues to be premature [and laughable], as the offense which was the highest scoring of all time continues to hover on either side of middle of the pack (though it reached as high as 10 last week).
I think the bottom line is that we've seen our offense is still good enough to win if it can gain some consistency, and our defense, when healthy is good enough to win. So the only thing standing in our way of contending right now is the health of Adalius Thomas & Ty Warren. The declarations that our defense sucks are not backed up by the reality that we're still #12 in defensive scoring.
