Just heard his response to the following question: Tell us what happened in the 2nd half of the Pats game?

Colon: It actually started just before the half. We saw it in their eyes. We just had to take them into deeper waters in the 2nd half.

He then went on to clarify: It is a team philosophy. We bring teams into deep water and let them drown.

What a tool. If the Pats score before the half or if Slater doesn't fumble a kick off (nothing to do with the Steelers drowning the Pats), who knows how things would have turned out. I'd love to meet them again with a couple of players back from injury.

we really beat ourself out there.
Fumbles, penalties, drops and interceptions.
It's everything we try to avoid, all in a single game.
A loss was never in question.

Someone should take him into deeper waters... with a 200 lb. weight tied to his ankles.

Exactly what did the Steelers do right before the half to make Moss drop an easy TD where he was wide open and Cassel had plenty of time or made Gostkowski miss a near chip shot field goal? I give tons of credit to the Steelers for their win, but this is an example of a player too full of himself.

If Moss holds onto that TD pass, it might have been a very different game. The Steelers did nothing in the first half to stop that from happening.

Funny coming from a guy that got his ass handed to him by Vrabel the entire game last year.

ah whatever, they beat us. we will get them back next year

If the Pats score a TD at the end of the half, or Gostkowski hits the FG, this is a totally different game. Should have been up 17-10 or even 13-10 and started the third quarter with the ball. Damn.

I think you guys are being too hard on Colon...if you beat a team, you earn the right to trash talk.
The Pats need to move on and look at ending the season with a 4-game sweep if they want to play in January.

Earn a right??? It's NO class...plain and simple..When have ANY Patriot players done that a DAY after?? Last year?? This year?? Years past?

Welker trash talked his own former teammate days after he left. And I believe Colvin still trash talked the Chargers for whining about the divisional playoffs in week 2 of last year. There are probably more instances that I can't think of right off the top of my head. Every team has players that talk trash. Our guys are not above it.

Yeah, Juny's basically right.

And don't talk to me about "if"... they don't have conditional football scores. You win or you lose, or despite McNabb's impressions, you very occasionally tie. You don't get a woulda shoulda coulda W. I mean I get the point that the Steelers got a LOT of help from the Pats... but jeez, let him believe what he wants to believe. They had us shaking in our boots, so bad we couldn't catch the ball. Whatever. We might even get another shot at them this year... and if that happens I don't care who's injured. We beat them or we don't. Excuses SUCK.

I was more in reference to a day after a game type talk...as opposed to RIGHT after the game..when emotions are high...which I think is different..I am just trying to see what was said when...and believe me I KNOW many do talk trash...BUT I am saying a day after a win or loss...trash talking then..when there is a bit of time..gloating about a win...I KNOW Rosie said a LOT of things about the Chargers right afterwords...BUT..I am talking about in an interview a day after a win..(or loss for that matter..) Just to compare a similar situation...ANd yes I KNOW some have..but..do u remember an interview where that happened?? Just curious..

The play that changed the game in my opinion was the 2nd down & 1 and McDaniel calls 5 wides. The sack 3rd and 8 then punt. That's no way to start the opening drive of the 3rd quarter. A score there would have been huge. The Steelers would be playing catch up the rest of the game most likely. Why he made that call I have no clue. It it was scripted I don't see why you can't improvise in a situation like that.

DUMB CALL..........

Let's not talk about scheme and playcalling particularly on offense. The Pats had guys open, they had throws on the money, they ran on the D you can't run against, they had guys open on the team you can't get passing yards on. They had everything they needed out there and they simply did not execute.

People elsewhere in the league are talking about Josh M. getting a head coaching gig, and you guys still believe he can't call plays or contribute to a gameplan?

Ever occur to you how much easier hindsight is than planning? I'm not a huge Josh fan but he HAS presided over the most prolific offenses the Patriots have ever fielded. I'm no expert but that tells me that he's not utterly unable to play his role. In fact I'm almost certain that his playcalling is better than yours, believe it or not.

No, not off the top of my head. But let me ask you a question: what exactly did Colon say that can be considered "trash talk"? He didn't call out any of our players specifically, he didn't call out Belichick or the coaching staff ala L.T., he didn't call out Kraft, and he didn't call out the fans. He basically said what happened: the Steelers scored before the half was over, we didn't, and their #1 rated defense smelled blood in the water. Sorry, but I don't consider that trash talk. Now, if you want to talk about winning with courtesy then yeah, I'm with ya. But to call that trash talk simply borders on the ridiculous.

he won, he can say whatever he likes...

but the list of teams i would LOVE to face again in the playoffs, preferably this season, just keeps on growing

jets
colts
giants

I do agree a win is a win..There are NO style points..but when one looks AT the game..there's quite a LOT of ifs..no? On both sides...I think that is all people are saying..They won..plain simple..there were mistakes..but that is what happens..(not usually as many..but..) it's ALL part of the game execution..I think it's also what this team learns
from the loss and does to correct it...
Not sure what part you think is correct....moving on?? I am sure teh team has and will
always does...The fan base is NOT the team though..so I am not sure who that is directed at..and Colon can believe what he wants..if he wishes to be classless..so be it.

Don't get affended, the Pats wanted to do the same thing to teams last year. Haven't you heard the phrase "step on their throats"? Pittsburgh did just that by capitalizing on the Pats mistakes.
