I will be a little bit sad seeing Deion on the other side of the field when the Pats visit the Hawks this sunday - This is the first meeting of Deion and his newest team facing the team who made him what he is today,The Patriots

I was a Deion Branch fan with a man crush, but was a bit miffed at his decision to go for more $$$ but still think he was the best receiver of all in the Brady era and I miss him.

How do you feel seeing Deion out there? - HATE HIM OR MISS HIM?

I hope that he gets cut at the end of the season!

and then gets signed by the Patriots to an inexpensive deal

He's done nothing since he left, he's irrelevant to me. I'd love to get him back for reasonable $$$ though.

Didn't need him in 2006, obviously didn't need him last year and don't need him now.

Before someone inevitably comes in here and mentions Reche Caldwell in the '06 AFCCG, please remember what the situation was at halftime.

Not me. The guy is an injury waiting to happen. Loved him when he was here but I'm not torn up to see him on the Seahawks.

+1. The problem with that game (and God I feel like a broken record cause it seems like almost every loss I am saying this) was the defense.

Ya I miss him....Ty law, too
But seeing Ty a couple weeks ago, (3rd row..we had eye contact....:kiss2:)... aauu where was I...

Ya it's a business for these guys, and they have only a limited time to make the money before their bodies say no more
I miss alot of player that I've loved, but they are not Browns or Tippets or Brusci...
these guys wear only Patriot Blue....
Not every player is a Patriot. Some just play for us.

Excellent statement. And that reminds of reason #1 Brady will be back next year and ready to tear every opponent's D a new arsehole. He IS a Patriot.

I don't hate him but I have no respect for him and the way he honored his contract.

I don't hate Him and I don't miss Him.I appreciate what He did while He was here but time marches on and Moss and Welker are simply better players than Branch. The way I look at it ,We upgraded.

Agreed wholeheartedly.

Makes you wonder though that if they had paid Branch what he wanted and he was still here, would they have had the money and cap space and desire to seek Moss or would they have been not as interested in last years offseason.

Don't hate him. He's just become irrelevant. I don't think we have Moss today if he got signed to what he wanted.

Loved The Twig in his 1st training camp. He stood out as a major NFL talent, unlike all the other #2 pick WRs we wasted time on. He really contributed to the Dynasty years' SB wins.

That said, the little creep is DEAD TO ME after his selfish and destructive departure.

Branch, IMO, would have been the difference maker in 2006 - allowing us to win a 4th Super Bowl Title - but I STILL don't begrudge the team for making the decision they did at the time. Branch's actions prevented him from playing out his contract here - not the team's.

All that being said I don't hold a grudge against him at this point. I was previously pissed that he didn't honor his contract but he played the cards he had and played them well to benefit himself. Who's to say any of us wouldn't have done the same?

Speak for yourself. Some of us value a commitment more than any amount of money. Your mileage may vary.
