Any updates on Welker? I know he didn't come back into the game after the hit, and he was shown on the sidelines a couple times, but does anyone know what the situation is with him?

He thinks hes getting ready for the Super Bowl v. the Giants again

Seriously, how would anyone know?

I'd consider sitting him out next week's game and give him lots of time to recover. He's too valuable to the team longrun.

We haven't heard a single word on him and you already want to sit him a week? I think we should wait to see his participation in practice this week before we start throwing that out there.

****, I think we should sit him for the year. ;)

And you keep moving them to the top by adding idiotic posts to them.

Somewhat on topic... Is Ryan Clark going to get fined for this hit? I mean David Thomas had a late hit (more like a push) fined, while Clark was just looking to take his head off. No tackling technique there.

If Thomas's late hit was a $7,500, Clark should get at least that.

That hit looked like head-hunting to me.

he looked ok on the sideline so I'm guessing they
were worried about a concussion.

I think it was one of the Dirtiest hits I've ever seen.

Completely defenseless.
Ball was out of play.
Launched himself into Wes.
Helmet to Helmet.

If you noticed - As soon as he got hit the camera panned to Troy P. and he did the Cross on his chest thing - That's how bad it was.

It was dirty. He should get fined. I hope Welker is OK. I have a lot of respect for his game. He is absolutely impossible to cover.

Yeah, I thought so to. I thought he looked slightly dazed, but I would guess it was precautionary. That was one of the most jarring hits I've ever seen and I remember Tatum's on Stingley.

Exactly! My father and I talked about that hit last night and how it resembled the hit on Stingley.

I didn't actually get to see the game yesterday (long story), so JSn's video was the first I saw of it.

I'm amazed Welker was up before the trainers could get onto the field. Thank God.

Welker was one of the only Pats out there yesterday showing some heart. And then this cheap shot artist from the Steelers, who doubtless had been getting owned by Welker all day, breaks out this cheap shot.

Disgusting. I hope he is fined and suspended.

Luckily, Welker has the heart of a lion and no doubt will be right back into it.
