Knees are a-jerkin left and right on PatsFans.com.

We lost the game. Our BEST player is on IR and half of our defense is on IR or didn't suit up today. Losses happen.

We have another game next week and a decent shot at making the playoffs. Maybe we should talk about the upcoming game instead of benching Cassel/trading Brady and keeping Cassel/Moss is another A-Rod.

This board has become a b!tchfest. We win and we aren't winning enough. We lose and EVERYTHING is horrible. A majority of the posters are never happy no matter what happens.

I know what will happen now, of course. Let the flaming begin in 3, 2, 1...

Your right some people on this board are complete goofballs. Now I get why PatJew left this board is becoming a joke with all these ******ed threads.

Re: No doubt anymore, poor Member posting is killing this board.

Normally I would be the first to agree. But after that performance, a lot of these posts are forgivable. From the missed FG on... we played worse than the Lions.

Re: No doubt anymore, poor Member posting is killing this board.

and then some people think they are no it alls and if you try to get topic going you get called silly.

so what should one post?

is this only suppose to be an informational board?

None of the people that became fans post 2001 understand a word of what you are saying. They aren't "football" fans, they are people who want to associate with a guaranteed winner, period. Any chance that the Pats will lose sends them into a tizzy. They don't know or understand that there is actually very little difference between the Giants and the Lions, that the other team earns the millions they are paid, and most of all they have no clue that on any given Sunday, if teams as good as the Giants don't give it their all, teams like the Lions will beat them. And they don't care, either.

They don't want to hear about off-days or bad bounces or days when you just get out-played.

If we don't make the playoffs for a couple of years they will go away and find the latest sure thing to associate themselves with.

That's sports, dude. You have good days and you have bad days. You have streaks and you have slumps.

Sometimes you get the bear, and sometimes the bear gets you, as submariners used to say during Cold War games of underwater chicken.

Your post WAS silly. Going around crying about it on thread after thread isn't going to change that. Get over it. Post smarter threads. We both know you're fully capable of doing so.

well guess what. the fact that Light got burned in the shotgun is a legit discussion.

I really am not impressed with the know it all act and demeaning of people's threads.

Apparently you didn't watch the Lions. Your comment is an over-reaction, like many on the board right now. A rational and objective person wouldn't say such things.

Re: No doubt anymore, poor Member posting is killing this board.

I believe the fans have a right to be negative after this game. But I don't think some of the threads are appropriate just because of one loss. The "poor drafting" threads that pop up after every loss are just BS moronic fan rants especially when they weigh a seventh round pick the same as they would a first rounder.

I started a complaining thread myself tonight and most people would put me on the homer side. There was very little to nothing to like about today's game. But to drudge up the same tired threads about drafting, Cassel sucking, etc. is what is driving a lot of posters from this site.

at this point i think people should be able to post what they want. there is so much anger and criticism here. i can see why people get turned off or leave.

It's actually very ironic that people reply to threads in a negative manner which perptuates the thread and keeps it going.

Who is to say what can be posted or what can't?

I don't agree with some and do post a comment or two in them or actually try to rationally debate with explained opinion.

I mean if you don't want to read it then don't post to it.

*fingers to temples*

I am thinking of beautiful places............

Re: No doubt anymore, poor Member posting is killing this board.

I'm sorry guys. I know me complaining about complaining threads is in and of itself pretty silly, but I KNOW there are those of us who don't like the way things are spiraling downward here and I am trying to make sure our displeasure is know.

well guess what. the fact that Light got burned in the shotgun is a legit discussion.

Light gets burned badly almost once a game. It happens. He's not great, but he's no Max Lane, either.

I remember when I first started coming here during the 06 season, I was so impressed with the REAL football talk and back and forth discussion that was going on. I read posts on here for over a year before I got an account, and Patsfans.com became my first place to go for Pats news and analysis. Nowdays, there are so many "This sucks, that sucks, why isn't Chad Jackson still here, BB and SP screwed this team up SO BAD" posts to wade through before I actually find something resembling actual football X's and O's talk, it's disheartening. If I was a new user first looking for a place to discuss the Pats, I would pass right by this place and keep searching.

And I am not trying to have a "know it all" act and do not give a damn if I "impress" you.

Re: No doubt anymore, poor Member posting is killing this board.

This topic has really been the beacon for the forums this year. From one emotional high to the next emotional low, this theme has been the only constant.

The perpetual angles on Brady/Cassel even moved Ian to step in a create a thread. I have seen posts from moderators threatening banishment to the PS forum, long time contributors exodus out of here and outright personal insults flung. And most times I just shake my head.

It is so simple I cannot understand why there is so much drama these days; People have differing opinions, these forums are a place for them to express it.

I love my Patriots. I have always loved my Patriots, I will always love my Patriots. Sometimes my Patriots let me down and I get angry, frustrated, confused, and a host of other things.....but I still love them. Now, while I am not a person who starts doomsday threads or meddles in them, I sometimes find opinions I agree with, and other times don't. The nature of discussion is to divulge our thinking and share in the thinking of others. If all we wanted was dissent or affirmation this would be a pretty boring place.

I expect the Patriots to win. They are paid to win and nothing less. When they don't win I want it fixed. I expected them to win back in '85 and when they didn't I wanted it fixed.

For those of you that want to jump ship please do. The Patriots are not going to win them all and some games are going to be outright ugly.

For those of you that think people of an "adverse" opinion that causes you distress are not "real fans", you need to learn a broader definition of "real fan".

You Flatlanders really trip me out sometimes.

Re: No doubt anymore, poor Member posting is killing this board.

One of the things I find so exhausting this season is that if we lose, it's total doomsday. But if we win and play well, we get discussions about trading Brady. I know some posters appreciate the middle ground, but I guess the overreactions just stand out more.

Really? Tell me then, exactly what was it inherent in the shotgun that was the reason Light got beat?

Re: No doubt anymore, poor Member posting is killing this board.

Enough. Before it gets nasty I'll lock this thread, however there will be some heavy moderation this week to try and maintain order as I'm sure there will be plenty of cricicism from those who voted in the "5th Quarter's" poll asking if they felt the Pats would make the playoffs. 78% said no, which made Steve Burton point out that the "bandwagon" fans are jumping ship. I'm sure you'll see more of it here as well. - Ian
