So with that said, here is their schedule compared to ours ( I posted this in another thread, but thought it deserves its own thread)

Baltimore....

Washington (7-5)
Pittsburgh (9-3)
Dallas (8-4)
Jacksonville (? lol)

Pats...
Seattle (2-10)
Oakland(3-9)
Arizona (7-5)
Buffalo (6-6)

Bottom line: Season isn't over and Baltimore could easily lose 2 games there finishing 10-6 and New England finishing 11-5

LETS GO PATS!

Baltimore will lose atleast the next 2 out of 3 while the Pats will atleast win the next 2 of 3.

It's not all that bad...but watch out for Miami...

aren't we now tied with Miami again?
I think their schedule is even easier than the pats. I don't recall if the pats hold the tie breaker either.

AMEN! We're still in this. They could lose 3 of those games. Dallas is looking really good, Washington has been reeling and is going to step up, Pittsburgh is very good :(, and Jacksonville is always a tough team. Let's do this. If people want to get off the bandwagon, you can get off.

The season is far from over, and even getting the division isn't out of the question. Lets go kick some Seattle, Oak, ARI, and BUFF ARSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I still believe

GO PATS!

One of the Jets or Ravens will come out 2/2 or worse.

Can we go 4/0? I haven't seen enough consistancy this season from us to believe that we can.

It's funny how people are so quick to think all we need is help. This team has to do something it hasn't done in a year, win 4 games in a row.

yeah what happens if miami wins out and we win out and the ravens finish 10-6?

I heard because we play buffalo on our last game and we beat them we get a better record within the division, so then we would finish ahead of miami.

Well, let's say the Ravens lose first.

If New England and Miami win out, that means the Jets are out of the playoffs, and the Phins and Patriots are in. Phins would be division champion based on division record. Patriots make it over the Jets based on common opponents. NE beat Denver, Jets lost to them. Jets also lost to the Raiders.

So, assuming the Jets lose to Miami and New England wins out, the Jets fall behind us in the divsion standings.

The Jets' losses to Oakland and Denver may come back to haunt them.

I'm not POSITIVE, but I'm pretty sure this is how it would play out.

If we as well as Miami wins out, that means they would have beaten the Jets so the Jets would at best be 11-5, tied with us and Miami. It would come down to common opponents where we'd beat the Jets. We'd finish ahead of the Jets since they lost to Denver/Oakland and we beat them, Miami would finish ahead of us with a better conference record. So Miami wins the division and we get the WC berth, winning the common opponents tiebreaker over the Jets.

wow.. can't imaging miami winning the division.. but it's possible it appears
amazing

Nope. We'd finish with the same record in the division. Miami though would have a better record in the conference. In common opponents, we'd be even.

Of the Jets, Phins and Patriots, the only team that holds the division's destiny in their own hands is Miami. If Miami wins all their games, they are the champs.

Personally, I would settle for Miami beating the Jets. Let's leave it at that.

Assuming of course that Baltimore loses 2 games.

Personally, I'm banking on the Patriots winning 4, the Jets losing 1, and Miami losing at least 1. The chances of Miami and the Jets both losing 1 is somewhat greater than the chance of Baltimore losing 2.

So Iam guessing if the ravens finish 11-5 and miami finishes 11-5 and the patriots finish 11-5 the patriots dont make it in?

Yes, correct.

But that's just not going to happen.

if anything we learnt from the game today, a team with a great d always has a good chance to win. So baltimore can beat pitt or dallas or even both.

well the more funny scenario is that the jets could miss the playoffs still after being the supposed best team in the AFC last week
